In theory I just bought two bottles at the BevMo in Tukwila for pickup later in the day.

We'll see what's actually in my order when I arrive...

Nor do I. But it was your use of "...pride themselves on having the highest bottle prices..." which made me think of Apex.

Fremont did an Imperial Mexican Coffee Stout in cans for John's Marketplace's 22nd anniversary. Just a heads up.

    hahaha...not surprised I didn't get exactly what I expected.

Guy grabbed a stapled shut paper bag to give to me, and I wanted to make sure it was actually right.

The bag contained Coffee Cacao Vanilla Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Stars (of which I already have several), but no Brew 5000s.

Apparently Brew 5000 went "live" on their website too early, they don't expect to actually get it in until Thursday. They expect to get multiple cases, he tells me. Anyway, they're supposed to hold on to my order and give me a call when they can fill it with the beer I actually ordered. :stuck_out_tongue:

Brew 5000 was on tap at the Urban Beer Garden this afternoon. No mob, no noticeable signs of FOMO. On a sunny afternoon, the UBG is a very pleasant place, especially in these still Covid times. I thoroughly enjoyed B5K. It seemed a bit more intense than what I can remember of earlier versions, but I don't trust my memory. It's good stuff, that's for sure.

Fremont Brew was PACKED Tuesday night. One hour wait for a table so we “walked on”. Was a nice evening and it appears that every resident around this area was out and about and many at Fremont. Good for them. Bad for us.

Interesting -- I managed to grab 1 22oz off Tavour (via "Secret Stash") for $27.99 yesterday. I thought it was a decent deal but didn't realize it was $2 cheaper than the brewery's price.

Not sure if you've seen this on their website:

    https://www.fremontbrewing.com/visit

The wife and I don't make it up to the UBG all that often, and the last thing we want to have to do is wait an hour for a table. The website states that walk in seating is usually available, but I'm not sure I would agree with that statement. We almost always go at what I would describe as off hours, but even then, it's not unusual for the UBG to be close to capacity (and this was pre pandemic). I honestly can't remember the last time we stopped by and there wasn't some sort of wait for a table (either when we arrived or by the time we left).

Anyway, we've since started taking advantage of the online wait list and have never had a problem. We always get right in when we arrive (5 minute wait at the most). :sunglasses:

As of yesterday, John's on Powell, Capitol Hwy Deli had bottles, and Belmont had bottles so I'm sure you'll be able to find them. Hell, New Seasons gets bottles that sit around!

The Bevmo in Bham has it, $29.99 + tax, 2ppl. They had a case open, and 2 more cases upfront, no idea if they have more they weren't showing. Grabbed 2 in case I miss at my regular, if I get more, I'll send them to away in BIF/LIF boxes.

@woemad ,@rrock44 , sightings in your necks of the woods?

Be back in the TC on Friday. Best bet would be MCWAS or the Kennewick Yoke’s.

Well, good on the dude that was working there -- he both texted and called to tell me he was holding it for me.

When I got there around 7 this evening, there were three on the shelf, and there was a dude in front of me who seemed like he was picking up a dozen or so of the bottles. If that's the case (see what I did there), cheers to deep pockets and good beer! Two bottles is most likely plenty for me, no matter how good it is. Wouldn't be surprised if that dude was on this thread.

Yup, $30 seems fairly standard. it's well over my $1/oz standard, but, once a year? OK.

I DID order from Uptown today and almost put that in my cart...but decided on 4x of Maine’s best IPA instead. I won’t rule out a second order though...
