It appears that in Minnesota you cannot buy beer in grocery stores. So I assume it is at Liquor stores. I will be in the Eden Prairie area for a night before heading up north. Any good beer stores/liquor stores in that area. I found Eden Prairie Liquor and Cub Foods. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Eden Prairie only has municipal liquor stores. The EP Liquor across the street from Cub is good, not great. Either make the drive east to France 44 (Edina/Mpls border) or make the drive west to Top Ten (Chanhassen).
As @Abe-Froman explained, EP only has muni stores. In MN, the law allows cities to declare a monopoly on liquor sales in that city. Eden Prairie is one of those cities. Also, in MN, you cannot buy beer (other than 3.2) in grocery stores, so many grocery stores in MN have a "separate" store (separate entrance, have to leave one to enter the other, but the same building) for liquor and beer sales, but since EP is muni-only city, not in EP. The two liquor stores Abe-Froman suggested are good. (Personally, I prefer France 44, but either is good... Chanhassen will be closer to you in EP).
Top Ten Chanhassen is the best option close (it's less than a mile from the EP border). Andrew and Will are helpful dudes. South Lyndale Liquors is another very good option.
Thank you for all the help. I ended up going to Eden Prarie one. I am not sure what I was missing from the other stores but this had plenty. They had Toppling Goliath and Three Floyds. But have started getting TF back in Virginia. I got some Surly Rocket Surgery, Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Stout and Blackstack Dad Smokes. They were all good but the Blackstack was awesome. I appreciate all your help.
