Light bitter hops (35 IBUs) with some floral notes. Clean and crisp. Very drinkable!

Finally got out for the first motorcycle ride of the season after almost 2 weeks of steady rain and pretty chilly. Felt good!

ChicagoJ, I like brewing IPA's and the missus like the Old Peculiar which is fine. Nothing special we're just doing kits but sometimes I'll add some extra hops. Mostly brewing to keep me in beer as the cheapest you can buy a 12 pack here is almost $28! If I had my druthers I would have a steady supply of Belgian beer, all the styles all the time if I could.

I don't name anything, not even my bikes.

Funny my family is from Illinois, me and mom from Jacksonville and dad from Centralia.

Start the new job tomorrow at 8 AM. Had orientation today and it went very well.

Pros: Seems easy to get the hang of, don't have to wake up at 4:30 AM, potential for promotions based on experience and performance, regular raises, start accruing PTO immediately, eligible for good (and affordable) healthcare plan immediately, guaranteed 40 hours w/ possible OT, 30% discount on all products (never been a cannabis user, but this seems dumb not to at least take some advantage of), culture seems healthy and equitable, people seem solid/not stupid (they heavily vet everyone that works there), learning new stuff is always good for me and will get me in a new/fresh mindset

Cons: Took a sizable (25%) pay-cut to start, have to work Fri/Sat nights for now. Both of these things can change for the better though so it is what it is. Definitely more pros than cons as you can see...

In celebration for this big change, I cracked a 2018 §ucaba! Always good to have some emergency high-quality aged beer on hand!! This is fantastic with a few years on it, as expected. A masterclass in BBA barleywine, as most of you know.
