    @rgordon That Robert Palmer reference got me thinking about the criticism for one of my favorite McMurtry songs (the complaint is that it sounds like it sprang from Palmer's "Simply Irrestible" template):

    The studio version does have a little of it, right? But that song's meant to be live ... down and dirty and not studio sanitized IMO:

    In a few more years, we are going to retire. Bay Area California is nice and we like it here. However, all you guys in Florida are making a strong case to move :slight_smile:

    Doesn’t look bad. We’re still not through the pandemic yet, but after a bit over a year of this bullshit I am dreaming of something as simple as a beer in hand, a pool to dip my toes in and some warmer weather. Cheers!

    It's my day off work. Might as well start it off right with a beer thanks to @woemad . It is also my first ever beer from Idaho. I'm so excited to check off another state, and I'm getting a lot closer to all 50, plus DC.

    Hamilton Lake's coves are a thick and yellowish mess and my eyes itch like hell. The Alloway helps for a bit but the pollen is stronger..

    His Dad Larry McMurtry just passed away a few weeks ago, one of the best writers anywhere. James just announced he is playing around the corner from me in October at The Heights Theater. Might be my first live concert I go to in a long time...

    Driving home from Pa on 85 in the distance it looked like a smoke haze, but it was yellow. Just awful.
