What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #3100

Rodenbach Classic Belgian Sour Ale is in my glass. This is a really good one. Loaded up with cherries. Those Belgians do know what they're doing.

 

Good day Advocates. An earlier than usual start for me. In ninety minutes our Premier is probably going to announce even more restrictions. To paraphrase Deadpool: “It’s pretty hard to step it up from 24/7 torture.” I have no idea what’s coming.

Starting with this very good Ontario IPA. Nickel Brook, who like Collective Arts, Great Lakes and Flying Monkeys, really know their way around an IPA. Cheers.

 

Finally got my mitts on the Panther Cub. Right on the border of being too sweet for my palate and the vanilla is extract in taste as advertised. Decent enough but a 4 pack is going to be my limit. Something to sooth me after dealing with nearly 6 inches of wet snow this morning.

 

Three of my favorite beers, including that one, come from Rodenbach. An absolute top tier brewery for me. Cheers.

Keeping with today's fruit theme, Rosetta from Ommegang is what beer I'm drinking now. It's a cherry bomb, nicely balanced between sweet and tart. I can't recall ever being disappointed by anything from Ommegang.

 

Tree House Daze

 

Am watching Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health provide updated Covid 19 modelling and basically the spread caused by variants is vastly outpacing our vaccine rollout. The worst case scenario is 30,000 cases per day by the end of May. Our medical infrastructure would buckle and collapse well before that number was reached.

Second beer is another very strong IPA from Nickel Brook. In this a NEIPA brewed with Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic hops. Cheers.

 

I'm moving off of the fruity beers and on to Ellie's Brown, and American Brown Ale from Avery. Avery is generally good stuff without question and Ellie's Brown falls in line with that. There's roasted malts, cocoa and nuttiness enough to keep me happy.

 

When beer and glass branding match, my brain is happy.

I’ve been waiting so long and I get to work and my headphones die as soon as I put them on. Checked some out. Condemnation Contagion is about covid. I can tell just by reading lyrics.

 

I'm closing out the day with Brew Free of Die IPA from 21st Ammendment. It's got plenty of citrus & mango notes. Wish it wasn't my last one.
