This dark ale is gorgeous! A little dry, toasty and a hint of chocolate.
Here's a pic of my office which I haven't been to much in the last year. Very difficult times for me in this pandemic. Work is however slowly trickling in.

At a friends house, Duvel a beer I haven’t had in a long time. This is not a style I’m really into but an enjoyable beer in any case.

Pours a murky, hazy, juicy looking golden color. There's a 2 finger white head. The head has crazy, small bubbles. The retention is damn good, and there's some good lacing on the glass.
The nose is pineapple, and grapefrit. Nice aroma.
Taste - Now I didn't get it in the nose, but this is a very mango forward beer. I do get the pineapple and grapefruit on the backside.
The body is juciy, and soft. It is also full bodied.
Delicious IPA.

This weekend vacation is the best thing I've done in years. She is amazing and the beer and food is top tier. Still have more to see. We'll be back more to see her parents, hope they stop being weird. The hefe is amazing.

Thanks - I was looking for something a bit lighter with a short scale neck for use in my studio and this is perfect since it's a hollow body. Also has a rosewood bridge so it has nice warm sound to it, this will get a lot of use. Cheers!!

 

Hopfen spezial lager. Great hoppy lager. Lots of grapefruit and tangerine with earthy hops and clean biscuit malts. Proper IPL. Seems like cascade/centennial. Really big fan.


Also more beer cheese and pretzels. Literal Crack.


The classic schnitzel came too. I'm a newbie. Kind of smells like fair food. Not a bad thing.

AAL of the week is Coors Banquet beer. I went through a serious Coors phase when I was younger - Coors Gold to be precise. Didnt see any not sure if they still make it. This bottle is dated Jun0721. Not sure what their shelf life is but it has to be 6 months or more I would imagine. This one is not as clean tasting as Miller High Life. More of a neutral flavor where no one thing stands out. Not as corny, not as sweet and just a very tiny hint of bittering hops. Again not terrible. Michelob Bock, though not true to style, has been the best of the three so far.

The wonderfully balanced Saint Arnold Amber, that is a classic, at least for me. Been drinking for 15 years, and just as good as when I first had it.
