Tired Hands Double Alien Church DIPA. Not sure it's twice as good as AC, but at 9%, I'm not sure it really matters.



Just finished getting through Dark on Netflix . . . maybe the best sci-fi TV series ever made, which doesn't necessarily mean the most enjoyable. Confusing as all fuck, but with a surprisingly emotional payoff at the end . . .

Nothing better to unwind with after a 10 hour work day than a beer. This time it's a Cigar City Jai Alai.

 

Next time in Columbus try Schmidt’s Sausage Haus. You’ll put a big bag of hurt on their buffet.

 

Next up on the AAL train. I really love this beer. I remember, back in the day, traveling to New Ulm to smuggle this beer back for friends. Now why was this? Well, Schell's couldn't keep up with demand for this beer, so they limited it to the new Ulm, and Twin Cities markets. I went to visit my aunt and uncle in New Ulm, and then loaded up my trunk with this beer to bring back to St. Cloud.

I guess I was a modern day Smoky and the Bandit.
Though, I tend to be an outlaw.

Canned3.5. Opened 4.19

Pale orange turbid liquid, one finger off white soapy cap, good lacings, good retention

Aroma is citrus orange, tangerine

Taste is orange, tangerine

Smooth and creamy , hop taste, no bite

Good beer

 

Pretty good , especially for being 10 months past the BB date, &^ unrefrigerated.

Wind is usually from the NW, but today is from SE. Next 3 neighbors to my SE have Callery Pears (Pyrus stinkiensis aka "Those stupid F'n' Pears" ) , & they're blooming 3 weeks early. (They'll last longer in the cooler temps. )

People, PLEASE!!! don't plant them withing 500' of any dwelling. Assume they are live (olfactory) rounds.

Have relocated indoors. Watching a review of the federal budget, which was announced this afternoon. In true Liberal fashion, it’s spend, spend, spend to get re-elected now and kick the deficit/debt can down the road for someone else to deal with.

A really nice and relatively new DIPA in the Ontario market. Have had quite a few of these recently. Cheers.
