Not sure how populated the Venn diagram of crossword nerds and R+B fans is, but there's a playful Arthur Koestler reference in today's NYT x-word (with a timely daylight saving theme) that some of y'all might appreciate.

If you ARE into the crossword, then massive spoiler alert, as this link will take you to the fully solved puzzle: https://halcyondaybreak.files.wordpress.com/2021/03/img_3432.jpeg

Root + Branch always leads me down some great reading paths, including Darkness at Noon as well as Paul Goodman’s incredible body of work.

Prima Materia (new APA, not a rebrew of the 2019 IPA) releasing via ETNYC at 5pm, along with some fancy glassware

Getting my second vaccine shot Saturday, figure a can will be a nice treat before I spend Sunday bedridden

Wouldn't be opposed to more frequent releases. How did everyone do with the glass?

Apparently it sold out in less than a minute. Why was the glass such a big deal?

I managed to get one. A select few had some Root and Branch glassware to go with the beers. We wanted to join the party haha

Prime Materia is unbelievable. Nose is amazing, so thick and flavorful, spot on carbonation, and finish is great. One of top APAs I have ever had. Still love Edward more but this is close.

Picked up my order last night and immediately cracked into a Prima. Outstanding!! @xenjoiii you've outdone yourself once again.

out of curiosity any plans to brew more less "popular" styles like gose, browns, IPL, etc?

Really enjoying my second can of prima materia. Amazing head retention and lacing. Found more earthy/piney character as it warmed a bit, which I really liked. Plus that likely unparalleled drinkability I find across all R+B beers

They definitely bloom and round more as they warm slightly in the glass. I’m not a fan of drinking any style, aside from lager, straight out of the fridge.

OPES sounds (and, after this morning's IG story, looks) great

First impression of OPES - this is a very solid and easy to drink west coast style brew. I would recommend it to anyone who likes old school IPA"s. But it doesn't taste like space flowers like some of Anthony's NEIPA's.

Life and Fate is delicious. Not sure of the hop(s) as I have a terrible palate when it comes to that, but whatever the combo is it’s great. Definitely worth the grueling drive home with that shore traffic.
