CANBIF - Spring 2021!!!

To my target, you seem to really like big beers witch will hopefully make it easier for me to choose! You are east of me, but that doesn't narrow it down much.....

To my sender: I thoroughly enjoy stouts, saisons, hazies, hefes, sours (though not the crazy acidic ones), barrel aged always seems to interest me, funky stuff. Pretty much any well made beer. Always happy to try new stuff. My untappd is: Anton32
All that being said, I have never had a black IPA that I enjoyed. I can appreciate barleywine, but I not big on it. I have not tried any of the crazy slushies yet, not sure about those.
I'm pretty easy to please : )

To my target: flipped through your beer history and looks like it should be no trouble to shower you with new treats from the east. Apologies in advance that I have used up all my shippers and haven’t gotten one in return for quite a few CANBIFs now, but I’ll pack it very well!


To my sender: I’m a simple fella that likes well made beer. Currently if I were to walk into a bottle shop away from home, I would try to buy well made German lagers, funky but not overly sour beer, barrel aged big beers that are more classic than novelty. What would I avoid? Sickly sweet style like Irish red, crushingly sour for the sake of sour beers, kitchen sink beers from brewers with more ingredients than brains. Send me beer that you’d love to drink!

 

hola... just emerged from the wilderness enjoying a nice camping trip away from Covid. Alas, I was only able to pack so much beer and sufficient means of chilling.

To my sender, I'm a ticker, untappd is my profile. I'm into trying new brews, new breweries, funky, wild, or diabetic causing brews. Surprise me =) Additionally open to meads and ciders.

 

To my target, seems I've sent brews to you before. Assume you'll post soon enough about your likes/dislikes, nonetheless I'm sure you'll be happy. If you like this post I'll be sure to include something special.

 

So some hints and ideas for my recipients. In total my two boxes will travel ~6k km.

The first one just started its trip and needs to cross prairies first to get further west. CP promise to get it there in early May. Hope it will be faster.

The second one still should be fulfilled and finetuned to satisfy all the criteria.

A box is leaving Ottawa. Its destination will be 2 hours driving distance from this place.

So the second box started its trip. Completely opposite direction. But CP is unpredictable. It promises to get the second box delivered earlier. Let's see.

My first box shoulw land the next tuesday so far west from my location. This is the second time I'm sending goodies to your porch. I'm pretty sure you will love the content. You seems to have a lot of experience for discovering beers, I've took care of that

 

I've got my first box this week! Most of the bottles I don't have any information about the brewery. This is something interesting and I will love to try them all! some Barrel aged bottles and stouts! Unfortunally, I don't know my sender but Merci beaucoup

 

17 refreshing beverages including a mystery is on it's way to a place so dear to my heart.

Can't recall the street name, but # 1869 was home to one of the best brew pubs in the land for a short blip in time.

 

I just checked what my target likes and I think I am not that far of. Beers in there should be clean and crisp.

I only have the address label left to write and the box will be shipped out tomorrow morning. It is going south of me and by a lake. The city has the same name as a relatively popular beer destination with the same city name in the U.S. (near the border).

 

26 beers totaling about 12L are headed almost as far as I’ve ever sent a CanBIF before (and I’ve sent more than a few). All new to you! Shipping label is printed and the box will be dropped at Canada Post tomorrow.

 

Packed up my recipient's box today... 17 beverages will make their way west of me this week.
