I guess the upshot is that there's a lot more of 5k than there was of 4k? I had zero luck with bottles of 4k, but I can't seem to take a step into any store without finding bottles.

I've noticed the same thing, and passed on the information in one of the trading forums. I guess that sucks if your an avid trader, but from a consumer and ardent Fremont fanboy, I could not be more happy.

So (to quote Lloyd Christmas), “You’re telling me there’s a chance (for the TC). Yeah!”

Haven't you guys, traditionally, been a week or two behind in distro for these beers? i have a hard time thinking at least some wouldn't show up.

Meant to quote @DefenCorps as well about distribution. I am no expert (so take my thoughts on distribution to the TC with a grain...) but we usually don’t see the various variants of BBDS or B-bomb. Occasionally they pop up at random times. Heck this year we didn’t even get F2F for some reason. So if one of these Bseries shows up, I will eat my hat. Haha.

Also noticed bottles of coconut b-bomb at a few different stores so far in PDX. I love it.

Welcome back! There's a lot of B-bomb and BADS in Portland.

The Tri-Cities is truly bizarre, especially once you've been there and see how many people actually live there, and yet there's so few choices. Not just for beer, but for anything. A new restaurant opens, and you can expect it to be mobbed for a year afterwards.

You'd think so, but, at least in my experience (I moved to Spokane in the mid-90s; although I visit semi-frequently, @rrock44 is better inclined to judge at this point), Mom & Pop outfits struggle to build up a reputation, whereas people get really excited by new corporate places that they've heard of. The # of people excited by the prospect of a fucking Olive Garden was through the roof.

Any chance B5K is still available in the Seattle area? My homie is in the area with his family tomorrow and was thinking about poking around a bit.

    Thanks!

Boy, what happened to Disco Wolf? When this beer released it was all bitter, piney, grassy, snappy, and semi-transparent. I just had a can last night and it now says "Hazy Double IPA" on the front, is mostly opaque, and is fairly average haze. Anyone remember hearing about recipe changes?

I’m pretty out of the loop these days. Does anyone know if B5K will be making it down to the Bay Area?

If you haven't seen it by now, it's probably gone. Somebody mentioned that there's still some in Denver, so, who knows.....

Been wondering the same thing out here in Southern California. B4K was all over the place last year.

^ Pretty much this. My guess is that it was available in the bay area, just because previous versions were. If anything, Fremont seemed to make a lot more of the B5k this year (it's still available all over town in PDX), so I can't imagine why they wouldn't distribute to California this year.
