Good day BAS! Off to another sunny start - maybe winter is finally over. Welcome back, @Shanex - thanks for starting today's thread.
Today's New Breakfast Beer, thanks to @Rub_This_BBQ and NBS BIF #13:



Very decent saison - rating 4.05, rDev -3.6%. Much lighter than the photo shows - distinctly light straw (SRM 2).

 

Another beautiful morning here in SWFL, mid 70s, sunny and breezy. Morning chores done, time for coffee and cake - Westbrook’s “Mexican Coffee Cake”:



Bottled 7/7/20. Poured at 53° from last night’s unfinished bomber. Coffee, green chilies and a whiff of cinnamon. Taste follows nose with chocolate, mild bitter roast coffee, some vanilla in the finish. A worthy variant of one of my favorite Mexican Cake style stouts. Cheers and have a great day y’all!

Four Quarters Maple Creemee Shakedown

 

No day off chores yesterday due to a much needed drive with ferry rides for a bit of normalcy which has been lacking for well over a year now. Chores are due and payable today, however. 1st coffee break. This one has become a favorite coffee stout of mine and I will try to always have on hand.

I'm starting off the day with Imperial Sunshine from Blue Point. It's a blonde ale with orange and natural flavors. It's, um..., not good. It tastes more like an orange alky-pop than a beer. There's a lot of orange going on, but nothing else. I rated it 3.28, which is way below it's BA average of 3.81. I can't imagine what everyone else was thinking with this one, and I even had a fresh can.

In my glass now is Gentlemen's Agreement from Logyard Brewing in Kane, PA. They call it an American IPA, but it seems like more of a NEIPA to me, but who am I to dispute styles. It's a very good looking beer. It has a ton of tropical notes in the nose and palate. Mango, passionfruit and guava (?). This is a really nice beer from somewhere that the backwoods call backwoods.
