Now it's time for a real beer. Lagunitas The Waldos'. This is chock full of dankness, pine & tropical fruit. I appreciate the living hell out of this every year. Thank you, Lagunitas.

Another 10K=62:00 run today. At mile 3 it began raining and the temp went from 62 to 52 in 2 shakes of a lambs tail. Began thundering a little with steady rain 10 min after the end of the run. Therefore I EARNED this drop dead gorgeous Samuel Smith Imperial Stout. Hadn't picked any up for a couple of yrs. Glad I did!
*Pours 99% black with a 3/8" tight even tan creamy head.
Has stone fruit, over ripe apple and a little chocolate in the nose.
It's taste is slightly reminiscent in ways to that of Guinness Foreign Extra Stout in that it has a kind of mineral atmosphere, dark baking chocolate, a soft short hop note at the forefront, sea salt, toasty malts but no caramel overtones.
It feels and drinks like a 7% stout that is semi sweet, semi dry, semi fast finish and is med bodied.
It is world class and excellent. Blame it on the Yorkshire Stone Squares!

DuClaw The Pastryarchy "Oatmeal Cream pie Imperial Honey Wheat Ale. I don't get the Imperial, the cream pie, the honey or the wheat. But it's still a good oatmeal stout. There's a ton of cinnamon and some vanilla. A good beer.
