Deleting threads and ghosting offers

Nothing wrong unless they both agree and accept the trade.

 

Maybe to you, but in my opinion I think it’s shitty behavior.

They posted a trade, someone could satisfy it, but since they thought you were “losing,” bailed and deleted the thread. Not even the common courtesy of a reply PM saying they’d changed their mind and sorry.

If you’re worried about losing and or always winning in trading, then you’re doing it wrong. This person did it wrong and went about it in the wrong way, imo.

 

No one’s saying they should be banned or even lose trading privileges. My take from this thread is to eliminate the ways these practices can go unnoticed by everyone on BA. By eliminating the ability to delete the thread, OP could have replied on the trade post and we all could have made our own decisions from there. While I think it’s split on it OP should name said trader, I think we all can agree the result of this thread has been positive and enforced a little more accountability on the trading forum.

 

Based on this thread, I think you’re alone (or very close to alone, at least) in thinking there’s “nothing wrong” with that practice.

 

And I'm perfectly ok with that. Years ago, before the trade request system I'd say you guys are 100% right. But since adding it, that should be the standard as to if a trade is locked in or not.
I've had people back out on me that I was talking to. Boo hoo, move on. If your offer is good someone else will take it.

 

So an unnamed someone posted FT: X, ISO:Y, OP responded (in thread and via PM) that they could do that, and then got no response? And then unnamed someone deleted the thread? Cool - no. Bigger fish out there - yes.
