Ha ha, yes, very true. A little sad not to see more Ani variants, and not super excited for Scotch barrel treatment.

Proxy picked up my bottles today and was told ‘99% chance’ the anniv party is happening in June (rather than July as mentioned earlier here) For those of us that travel (as well as those that do not) please post info ASAP.

Oh man, if this is happening in June I'm going to be pretty upset. Planning a trip that quickly is expensive.

Going to be great having a fest again. Hopefully everyone is vaccinated by then.

Especially since most of us here decided not to take a refund and leave the money with the Bruery during the pandemic. Two months notice isn’t too much to ask, but it doesn’t seem like that’s going to be the case here.

Opened 2010 Black Tuesday tonight. I was prepared to be a bit underwhelmed (as I typically am for most bottles this age), but was pleasantly surprised.

There was a lot of soy sauce when it was still cold from the fridge, but as it warmed up it took on Port characteristics and ended up with more chocolate and leather at room temps. Overall it held up great and was not an oxidized mess like some bottles with 10+ years.

When I finish the second half tomorrow I will take it out early and drink it at room temp, where it was at its best.

June is misinformation. We’re planning two weekends with multiple sessions. July 17th and 24th. More details coming very soon and for anyone who kept tickets we’ll be offering first chance at session selection.

now that the NW has been merged with CA, im seeing threads about breweries i havent thought of in quite some time.

so that said, for Bruery fans what are the beers that truly stand out still? 3-4 years ago, we were able to get Black Tuesday, grey monday, Mocha wednesday, the Anniversary beer, white chocolate and they were all kind of special.

now i see tons of stuff from them in cans and it all seems to be variants of the same stuff and nothing really sticks out anymore.

anybody have any advice on what beers i should keep an eye out for ?

    thanks!

Had a 100% Coton back in November and it was magical. Those 2010 high ABV beers really have held up.

They now do one or two canned pastry stouts a month for distribution... They're decent but not in the same class as the big barrel aged stuff like Black Tuesday, etc.

Broadly speaking, the really good stuff (and there's been a lot of it over the past 18 months) is exclusive to members. So, if you have a friend/access:

Tons of Black Tuesday variants, including box sets with small formats. Some fruited wheatwines that are great using same base as White Chocolate (Apfelsap, Birnesap). Doing double and triple barrel aged versions of beers which are turning out well. Wine hybrids, and a port hybrid called Portified which was magnificent.

I agree with everything @ernh said. The Bruery created a new stout this year and have several projects lined up for its use. The first beer they rolled out using it is Vanilla Villain, you should check it out on UNTAPPD.

Interesting they're saying this is the final "Rutherfords" release... I wonder if that's because they're pausing the style, or perhaps just indicates a shift towards collabs with Erosion?

It would be nice if we could get more details on the Anniversary Festival in advance of the tickets sale, especially for those of us with tickets from last year. So we have some time to check in with our guests before ordering.

Do we know what the ticket limits are? If we have tickets from last year, but want to but more, can we? In priority window?

Any feedback on Dentelle - Scotch, say in comparison to Gray Monday? Speyside, but some of the untappd reviews make it sound super peaty, while others don't.
