Old Threads Becoming All New Again

    Here's a thread that was started in 2020, and all of the posts have the 'New' red flag. I'm 99% certain that I read all of the posts except the last two during the period when the thread was created, but the site is telling me that I never did. (The likes that I gave in the first several posts are from today and are not evidence that I gave them in 2020.)

    I think this has happened for a couple other threads in the past few days too. Is anyone else seeing this? It's like new posts today in an old thread activate all posts in the thread to receive the 'New' tag.

    I noticed this as well. It was the first time I’ve seen my own posts listed as “new” for me. I couldn’t easily tell what was actually new in the thread.

    As mentioned in another thread, I recently increased the number of days to maintain read marking data (such as for threads and forums) from 30 to 365. This basically improves being able to jump to new posts in threads that are older than 30 days.

    So posts within the 365 days that were previously read, will be marked as new for some until the change settles in.

    Protip: You can also reset everything by going to Forums > Mark Forums Read
