The pandemic isn't over until the Lincoln bar is open. Then I'm coming for ya, HA!

 

Trying to get some info for a friend....does HA still brew Tuna? If not did they replace it with something else?

 

Was replaced by Tome in the year round lineup last year. They did a specialty release of Tuna last Septemberish I believe. Seems it will only be an occasional release like this going forward.

BHA is still great.

 

RIP Lincoln, that was like a second home for me for a few years. It feels like a special place and time that has disappeared. I hope that some of the food and atmosphere from Lincoln finds it's way over to Balmoral.

Wow, this is a bit heartbreaking.

 

They removed it from the Midwest forums when my posts were generating too much server load from it.

 

Glad we're all agreed that this is a bummer.

 

I get vague e-mail replies from HA saying "come visit us at Balmoral.." in response to this news.
So, if ANY of you peeps get definitive in-person information about whether and when Lincoln is closing to on-stool shmucks and visitors, I'd love to see that info shared here.
PLEASE.
I don't want to book a flight and a hotel room only to be locked out of Lincoln, scratching at the plate glass yelling "yyyyoooouuuuu bbbbaaassstttttaaaarrrrddsss!!!!"

 

Having my first now. Still has that super fresh citra "spiciness." Might even be a touch less soft than last year's recipe? Absolutely amazing either way.

Shot from my first visit to HA/Lincoln in August 2013, when I first lived in Chicago for 6 months (teaching gig). Point of conversion. Spared you my cuticles this time.

 

That's how it seems to me, too; it was a little softer than I liked last year, and I feel like they've really nailed a good balance this year.
