    Goodmorning everyone.
I knew that sooner or later this day would come... and it's today.
For the first time today this thread is ready to be opened directly from the Capital of Italy, the undersigned + Google Translate wish you a great day of drinking, wherever you are.

Birrificio Contromano (Roma, ITA) - RED DOT - American Strong Ale (7,5%)

    Bright red, slightly opaque.
    Soft and abundant foam.
notes of malt on the nose (honey, bread, "panettone")
In the warm and round mouth, malty hints are found that give aromai to the taste of caramel, dried fruit (hazelnut, toasted almond, walnuts), chestnut.
Lightly toasted, as per tradition for style.
Dry finish, not bitter, but that cleans the tongue while a light taste of glucose syrup still echoes in the palate.

Good Morning Italy, America and to everyone else around the globe!

Thank you @Jack_14 for kicking things off from Central Italy! Just got done tacking an extra day to my upcoming Vegas trip (thanks for the free change United!) and reading yesterday's thread.

Sorry about your son's wrist @zeff80 , sounds terrible but hopefully his wrist heals soon. @Victory_Sabre1973 , sounds like you had a great day in Wisconsin and your mom has some great beer from New Glarus. @STLRadley I really like what I've had from 2nd Shift, including Technical Ecstasy, and definitely want to check them and Side Project next time I'm in Saint Louis. Also, sorry about Half Acre's Lincoln Ave. closure, @eppCOS . I've only drank at that location once, Balmoral is my go to location (with Spiteful), but understand how a change in place with great memories hurts. Hoping Averie stays in Chicago with her great beers.

Random number generator selected this from the cellar, very pleased though bittersweet as it's my last one on hand. Hoping to pick up more if there's a @scream tribute this Summer.

One of my favorite coffee stouts, the vanilla and chocolate complement, don't overwhelm.

Two songs, this one dedicated to the Region Change discussion thread and to Wisconsin, home of this great beer.

The second to those toiling for one last day before the weekend.

Good day BAS! Thanks @Jack_14 for starting off today's thread - hope to hear more from you on Italy's beer scene! Ian, good luck with your job interview!

Good morning BAs! Going in a different direction and having some juice for breakfast, courtesy of @mickyge - Exhibit A Brewing Company, Framingham MA, “Leitmotif - All The Barrys”, a Kettle Sour Ale:

Apparently not “Retired”. Canned 4/8/21. Poured at 52°. Made with blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, black currants, lactobacillus and Belgian yeast. Fizzy pinkish-white foam dissipated quickly, no cap retention, ring nor lacing; rosè hue with little clarity. Mixed berries nose. Tart fruit/berries, no one Barry stands out from the other. Light body; effervescent high minus carbonation; high acidity; some lasting burn on tongue. Overall, refreshing, in a tart way; berries linger; the black currant probably the most noticeable of the four, but otherwise all of the fruit seem indistinguishable.

    3.5 | 3.75 | 3.75 | 3.75 | 3.75
    Score: 3.74 rDev -5.8%

Thanks again Mike for this morning’s eye opener - Cheers y’all!

Soon, small summary, especially photographic, of my recent visit to the Tre Fontane Abbey, the only Italian Trappist brewery, where I went to get Sinergia '21 (collaboration with Rochefort and Westmalle).

The release was scheduled for mid-January, but was eventually postponed to the end of April.
I will find the appropriate thread or create one in the appropriate section.

I have never been to FF in Madison. I will have to give that a try the next time I am there. Must be good if you made a special trip for it.

New Kveik IPA collab from two breweries in the Czech Republic that kick out a lot of the new school crafty options around these parts: Zichovec and Cerny Potoka.

The beer is full of fruit flavor and aroma, over ripe just on this side of rotting, with a creeping neon acidity coating the tongue. Really great.

Good morning, BAs! This is my first beer since Sunday, as I'm trying to lose some weight - and cutting out beer from Monday through Thursday is the easiest path.

But it's Friday! Horns-up Friday! So, cheers! :grinning:

Veronica seems to be packing some masses, I honestly think she’d put to shame every of these German ladies by lifting by herself more beers than the heavyweights over at the (sadly again canceled this year) Oktoberfest.

The 4-packs I've been finding of Technical Ecstasy are really fresh these days, and it's really something if you like Czech pilsners. Side Project is always great too. Hope you can make it this way to grab plenty of both. Cheers!
