    16oz can canned 2/19/21
    16oz pint glass
    L: Pours like pink iced tea. Looks like tea. Not hazy, good transparency. Well carbonated until end, thin head stays around with med lacing.
    S: Citra hops, stone fruit, light malt. Simple.
    T: Bubbly, zippy, lime, tea, hibiscus flower, sour, lime again, pink grapefruit...and that hangs on...grassy, tea again. Long deep tawny finish.
    This joint beer btwx Alesmith & Stone is good. It is fresh, lightly malty and 8.2%ABV but it somehow lacks flavor to me. Quite tart & puckering-tea-bag-stained, it drinks fairly easily for a DIPA. Interestingly, it might be rather good with a couple of ice cubes as it leans over to being a friend of an odd-ball rock shandy.

    Another beer this hot afternoon...with all the new beer I just received, I need to drink down some of April’s Tavour scores - Equilibrium’s “Enso” DIPA:

    Canned 3/3/21. Poured at 52°. I believe I have liked everything I’ve had from Equilibrium, and this beer is no exception. Some pineapple, mango, passion fruit; some bitter lemon. I like!

    As far as American IPA go, undoubtedly a classic.

    Regarding Pale Ale, Zombie Dust literally blew me away some months ago thanks to @superspak

    look: 4 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25

    Fairly clear, dark amber body; decent, slow-rising carbonation; produces a fair head but quickly fades to a thin wisp floating on top of the beer. Huge whiskey and raw white oak scent initially; dates and figs come into play midway. Big caramel and molasses flavors interspersed with a strong bourbon taste; little perceivable hop bitterness. Heavy body; sticky and chewy; boozy warmth.

    The Bardstown Bourbon barrel-aging is most prominent upon opening of the beer and during the initial pour. As the beer sits, the whiskey punch gives way to a rich and long lasting malt sweetness. This is an intense yet very satisfying barleywine and goes down nicely on a cold, wet Rocky Mountain Front Range late Spring afternoon.

    Unknown bottling date but bottle #34 of 72. Poured at 60° F.
