    Great thread, thanks Bill.

Hands down the most interesting thing I have ever seen and can never unsee. And I have seen a lot.

I recall drinking a few Mas in Munich and discovering that the urinals are just a trough. This is not all that unusual in Europe, but still, for a supposed continent of civilized people whatever happened to modesty? Trust me when I say drunk Munchner's have absolutely no problem dropping trou and letting go.
    This I could live with.

    BUT
While visiting Regensburg, a more parochial part of Bavaria, surprised to see a two way trough. Pay attention because as you piss into the knee high gutter there is a drunk Bavarian whizzing into the trough directly opposite from you.

I'm no prude, or thought I was not, but Jesu Christo Marine recruits at Camp Lejeune would be appalled.

Shy bladder? Germaphobe? Ordinary human? Well, you're fucked.
Like this internet pic with no wall, better because Fritz is bombed while pissing on your thighs! I would have snapped an actual picture but, well, you know...

My best friends brother pitched from a team from Mt, part of the Angels organization. Helena maybe? Blew his arm out.

We have a similar summer, wood bat league here https://westcoastleague.com/ , and a local brewery I'm pretty familiar with makes a beer for them every year, draft at the games, and cans for distro.

Yeah, we had the Casper Rockies, the Casper Ghosts, now the Horseheads. Never been to one of their games but I plan on doing so this year. I did get to see Todd Helton when he was rehabbing as a Casper Rockie. Fantastic player he was.

Go see the Moo when they come to town. Hopefully there'll be a Milk Stout on tap at the stadium.

Have you never been to a stadium where folks confuse the circular sinks for washing your hands for the urinals? That's good times!

I can't find a pic of the vanity license plates or the stained-glass windows, but here's a pic of the sign from The World's End.

There is a brewery in Bristol VA or TN (can't remember which) which has these.

When the Wedge Brewery opened its second location, they offered wine. Had a little chalk board behind the bar with the "Whine list".

It lasted probably a month, then they changed it to wine. I asked the server if too many people whined, and she just rolled her eyes.

Sierra Nevada in Asheville, NC has a hallway set up like a mini-museum display. They have various items like a slide-rule calculator for grain and some old malt labels. I thought this was pretty interesting:

Deschutes brew pub in Portland, OR. I was having lunch and had occasion to visit the men's room. The urinal was a monstrous ceramic relic that had "P J Clarkes" printed near the top. I assumed they had bought it when the original in New York City closed. Probably wrong. When I visited P J Clarke's near Lincoln Center NYC, I inquired about it. The bartender thought that Deschutes had bought it when the Las Vegas Clarke's closed.

The trough against the wall setup used to be typical at sports venues. I think Multnomah Stadium in Portland (now upgraded, Providence Park) had similar facilities into the 60s. Do I remember something like this at Yankee stadium in the early 80s? I've never seen a two sided one, though. There used to be troughs at bars (mostly built pre-prohibition) that survive. These are referred to as "spit troughs" but might have been used for other reasons.
https://www.wweek.com/culture/2018/...a-trough-beneath-the-bar-at-kellys-olympians/ . There are only one or two examples in Portland, since Prohibition started early, and hard liquor by the drink was still banned up to the 50s there. I learned about these relics from the "Bar Tourists of America".

The alternate name for Mt. Hood is Wy'East, made famous by the beer yeast puveyor with a similar name. You probably have a view from Solera of Mt. Adams north across the river, too.

Any McMenamins in the Northwest has decor and artifacts to qualify as "interesting". For example take a look at the Old St. Francis School Hotel and Brewery "Broom Closet Bar".

It looks like a location in David Lynch's Twin Peaks -- but stranger.

Above the women's bathroom door at a burger bar in New Glarus (Ott Haus) it has the two New Glarus beer street signs:

Tommy Keegan, who passed recently, RIP, took us on a tour of Keegan Ales to show us that a lot more of the original iron foundry stuff was in the building than you can see from the main areas. That said, just look up and you can see iron working equipment from the 1800's when it was a foundry.
