Starting the day with FBS;



Bottled 1/25/21. Poured at 58°. Day 2 of my RV trip to WV. I had a great time visiting with @Roguer last night and drinking a few beers. Cheers from Kingsland GA!

Compared to the many Belgian ales I've had recently, this one ranks #1 at the bottom, but it was okay.

 

Day off today - enjoying the sunshine and getting some chores done!

A beer at 10am? Well, ya can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning! A Warfighter Pale from Three Creeks to start my day.

 

Uber dry and breezy here. 72 degrees. Having to do lots of plant bed and grass watering.
Ye Oulde Summit is the ticket.

Haven’t been to Goose Island in a long time. Anniversary specials and White Sox baseball brought me out this afternoon.

$1 honkers ale on cask? I’d throw a 20 on the bar you’d have to carry me out of there.

 

I’m trying to stay responsible, best laid plans of mice and men. 4% gives me some leeway.

Speaking of session beers, second cask pour, this a new to me beer.

Goose Island Little Ben



Brewpub Notes: Cask pour, 16 oz Nonic glass (about 13 oz base pour), 4% abv Golden Ale. English grain on the nose, crisp hop flavor.

Appearance: Golden yellow clear pour, bright white creamy head lingers for several minutes, leaves generous creamy lacing in its wake. 4.5

Aroma: Nice bold hoppy aroma, fresh breast cracker aroma. 4.25

Taste: Consistent with the aroma, fresh grainy bread, malt complements well. Balanced, like this one. Full flavor, a good pour for those hesitant to try cask. 4.0

Mouthfeel: Nice body and hops presence in this one, lightly dry and bitter, hops play well with the malty bread sweetness. Easy light drinking and finish. 4.25

Overall: This is a solid golden ale, full flavor, nice balance, solid golden ale offering. 4.25

West coast autotune music here, will spin something better for you.

 

Finishing off a DuClaw Dirty Little Freak. A bit disappointing after some of their other beers.
