Drinking a '16 vintage of Central Waters BBA Stout. It is getting old and starting to oxidize. The '17 I had yesterday was a lot better but still should not of hung on to for so long. Got to go through the cellar and put all that older stuff in the fridge to drink over the coming weekends.

A perfectly quite back yard this morning.
Enjoyed this lovely lager, a quick lunch,
Then off to my fathers wake. I was Raised Roman Catholic, an alter boy, have been to hundreds (no exaggeration) of services. But nothing really prepares for one so close
    Thanks for the indulgence
    Do good
    Be well

You guys are the best community ever. Thanks for just being there, and today made me realize I need to be better to everybody else on here when something similar happens to them. Waiting to figure out what’s going to happen. The “nice” thing when my dad passed was my brother and I just put everything into motion. With my wife having three siblings and her father, there’s things to figure out. At least she had her funeral songs picked out. Catholics, right?

Andy Williams was always one of my mother in law’s favorite singers, and I honestly never heard this version of one of my favorite songs until last night, so I guess it really did mean something that I did.

Ah, crap @mschrei ! So sorry to hear about your mother in law. My best thoughts are with you and your wife in this very sad time.

For beer, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I was supposed to go on a brewery run in northern Minnesota with friends. Well, one has a stomach bug, and his better half is taking care of him. I'm not sure yet if I'll do something by myself, or stay home. Be back when I decide.

    Good morning BA
I haven’t been doing a lot of morning drinking since I took a M-F day shift job a couple months ago. We have a nine day maintenance outage starting tonight & I drew the short straw to work the nights.

    Silver lining

My favorite fellow XRT Fan, may I ask who was U2’s opening act if it wasn’t the BoDeans? We were disappointed it wasn’t Lone Justice that particular October night.

    Then these guys started playing.

Can’t wait to get that in my Tavour box. Best thing is that’s the first beer they did not mark up. I saw Prairie for $9.99 and thought “multiples please!”

Good day advocates! Thanx Shanex for droppin' the needle on today's Long Playing Record:sunglasses:
I'm having this yummy Oliphant Galaxy single hop IPA before I cut the 3/4 acre lawn. Decided to try the beer prior to doing any work and I am following the instructions verbatim from the Scott's Turf site where they recommend: Mow high. Mow as high as you can.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::rofl:
    So far so good!
    Cheers friends!

Windmill Seismic Toss Imperial Stout w/ vanilla, salted caramel, peanut butter, pretzels, and chocolate. Supposed to mimic a Take 5 Bar and it somewhat achieves that. Salty and definitely sweet, with the vanilla and salted caramel coming through the most. Tasty stuff, but this is a 3 oz and done kinda beer given the 15% abv and the diabetes-inducing level of sweetness this thing has.
