Almost missed this! I was busy counting how many of me I could fit on the head of a pin.

Hope you are enjoying America's Classic Premium Beer. Cheers!

Good Evening, BAs. Trying a Wall Kill from The Drowned Lands in Warwick, NY. This is yet another IPA/AWA hybrid (made with strawberry puree) and IMHO the best I've had from them thus far.

Stay Safe, Strawberry Fields Forever, and Sláinte!

That is quite a dramatization of what actually happened. You described to me that you were surrounded by a team of raccoons who were trying to get the lasagne that you were eating, then you said, "Thundercats, hoooo!!!" Olivia then appeared, threw a plate of spaghetti into the neighbors yard, and romance ensued.

Home with a Rogue Collosal Claude IPA. 48 hours from now I'll be in NH, super stoked.

[IMG] Tonight's Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup: (Identified all 3 out of 3 pairs correctly in the blind taste test)

    1) Bud Light (4.2%): An original American pilsner from Aneheuser Busch in Missouri that has flavors of pale malts and yeast. Simple and clean.
    versus
    2) Able Seedhouse Ol’ Trusty Beer (4.0%): An American lager from Able Seedhouse in Minnesota that has complex flavors of honey, pale malts, lemon, and flower.

    3) Great Lakes’ Dortmunder Gold (5.8%): A European Export beer from Ohio that has bread malts, earthy honey, and light flowery flavors. Smooth, subtle earthy honey.
    versus
    4) Bauhaus Wonderstuff (5.4%): A Czech-style pilsner from Minnesota that bready and salty flavors with a strong lemon citrus twist. Drinks slightly Americanized.

    5) Bent Paddle’s Snowmaker Pale Ale (5.5%): A little late for snow, but this pale ale from Minnesota has Centennial & Simcoe hops and flavors of orange, grapefruit, and stonefruit. Some tropical notes. Showcases the two hop varieties.
    versus
    6) Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (5.6%): The original beer that started the craft beer. This pale ale has strong orange, resin, and soapy pine flavors, while drinking smooth.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Winners:

    2) Able Seedhouse Ol' Trusty Beer:
This is no American lager. This one had delicious and complex flavors. Drinks much more like a German Helles. This is a quality lager here.

    3) Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold: I've said it before, but one of the best American-made lagers on the market. Subtly complex and smooth.

    5) Bent Paddle's Snowmaker Pale Ale: Hard to rank it better than Sierra Nevada's, but I think it has much more flavor. Drinks similar to Founder's Centennial IPA. In 2021 this one is more flavorful, but the winner here could be debated.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have you tried Able Seedhouse Ol' Trusty Beer and what did you think?
Have you tried Bent Paddle's Snowmaker Pale Ale? Did it showcase the Centennial hops well?
Do you think Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale stands up to some of the more robust modern pale ales?
