I agree completely. I personally think 90% of their labels are horrendous. They truly limit their market by having such hideous and disfigured labels. For instance I'm not inclined to bring their beer to a nicer dinner party. Their approach seems odd to me since they are trying to be more than just 'beer', yet their marketing is targeted specifically for beer drinkers (males: 20-30) and is off putting to most other demographics.

Seriously? Who really gives a fuck what the label looks like? If it's not your style, I totally get that, but you would seriously decide against bringing a beer to a dinner party because the label is "horrendous"? Life is too short for that kind of shit.

It's just beer. Took me a while to get use to them but it's all in fun. Beer should be enjoyed not taken to seriously.

Sounds like you need some new friends.... because their labels are beautiful and unique. I've never spoken to someone locally who didn't love 'em. In fact that's the entire point. That each beer is as unique as the character on the bottle... who are usually disfigured/ugly freaks.

What... do you want ANOTHER Goose Island (vintage)/Hill Farmstead label clone?

Solution: bring your hoity toity closed-book friends some hoity toity bullshit beer available in Texas... like Sam Adams Infinium.

Tell me Mr. Gots would not be a hit at dinner parties. Cmon, the guy has got at least ONE epic dinner party story to tell staring you right in the face:

I have some epic "stuff I saw Leslie doing/wearing on Sixth Street" stories from back in the day. That's entirely possible.

Found a pic of Funk Metal being enjoyed in Houston at a fancy dinner party this weekend:

Also: It's weird... if you look close enough, you can almost see Jester King's brewery in their bottles.

CM Westgate. No limit, and 5 cases on the floor. Wanted to buy more, but I just spent almost $300 on bottles in Portland, and am going to Tampa and DC in the next month. I hope my wife doesn't divorce me..... :flushed:
