DC’s outdoor area makes me jealous although it’s like 90° out so I wouldn’t want to be put aside if I had the choice. DDH Crushed Gems and District Drip were both solid.

@frozyn this is the tose beer that will change your mind. Its really good. Thanks @Bankhead for reminding me that once upon a time I really liked Mylar daydream.

Also agreed on the great notion collab.. got some good juicy fruit going on, even if one of those fruits rhymes with Gellin’. But it could use some time.

    Added my availability.
Just because you aren't on the initial list doesn't mean you can't take part, I believe. I just shoe-horned myself on there... Add your info to bottom.

I got the citra sampler pack in the mail. Is there any way to tell the difference between Haas & Yakima cans?

I’ve been living in NYC for 3 months now. Before moving here I came here every couple months and have been through the whole gambit of NYC breweries. Have not revisited other half since moving here. I’ve been on a lager kick and threes has been hitting the spot for me. That said I’ve been craving some super high impact IPAs recently. Domino park is 5 mins from my work location so OH has been calling my name.

I gotta say I’m really impressed with their beers. Super clean and refined haze. Individual hops are accentuated very expressively and noticeably. Some breweries I can’t really pick out the distinctive hops. Is other half one of the best at this? Seems like it. Seems like their yeast is not too expressive which can get in the way with the fruity esters and what not blending with the hops. I get a little more of that yeast expression from grimm beers, for example. Still love grimm but it’s a little bit of a different take.

Far too many hazies these days are muddled citra cake bombs. Not OH. I’d be interested to know if they use biotransformation hopping. I feel like they don’t as much which could lend to the clean-ness and pointed hop flavor. I feel like I somewhat recall OH on a podcast saying they hop only at the very tail end of fermentation. So maybe minimal bio-t.. just enough? I also recall monkish saying they don’t hop during fermentation because it muddled the beers.

I think dry hopping traditionally after fermentation is what lends to the unique hop notes from each varietal coming through. Just a theory and I could be completely wrong, but maybe the haze world has gone too bio-t crazy which makes all these hazies taste the same these days.
