Row 34 is awesome, amazing seafood and amazing tap list. Also only a 2 minute walk to Trillium.

I have a friend on here that periodically sends me Trillium. Their stuff is generally very good.
Recently I had a BA Endless Night and Day. This was the best stout I’ve ever had from them and just a big balanced brownie bomb if that’s possible.

100% worth the visit for the food alone, not to mention the well-curated beer list. City Tap around the corner also gets some interesting beers on tap from time to time and worth checking out their list online to see if something pops.

I’ll pile on here: Row34 is excellent. Really diverse mix of beer that extends well beyond what you normally find. They hosted a Zwanze day a few years ago for reference.

    It is good. Very good.

But…. Also consider going to James Hook & Co. across the Northern Ave bridge and sit outside at a picnic table over an asphalt lot while eating some good lobster. Then swing by Trillium Fort Point for a beer, or the Greenway if then open, or Fort Point Market to grab some cans to drink back at the hotel. Or stop at Cisco’s beer garden in the Seaport, and think (so long as your friends aren’t too shabby), this ain’t too bad.

To put it another way, there are some options.

But with all of these, realize that when the wind rips in off the harbor, spring and summer in Boston can feel like winter elsewhere. And the sand blasting your face from the construction sites can help with your exfoliation if that’s your thing.

I remember them serving these back at Lobster Trap, raspberry lime was good

I did. Stopped by Canton for some pours and Keane's Wood Fired (Boru BBQ)... always delicious. I tried the raspberry lime, while I'm no seltzer expert, I found it light, bubbly, and very flavorful. Didn't taste fake or unnatural. It would be an easy summer crusher. Separately, I was really surprised by the draft list or lack there of. They had a lot of beer in cans but the tap list was maybe 4 IPAs, the pilsner, Irish stout and the seltzers... Perhaps they're still transitioning from the lockdown can vs keg allocations.

What’s the latest Instagram post about, didn’t they have an event that was campfire related that was postponed?

Always cracks me up. I worked down there in the 80's when it was still the textile district - miles of seagull-beshat warehouses, rubble-strewn lots and knocked-down chainlink fences. There was a McDonalds, though. Congress St used to dead-end around where Stillings St is now - I can't even imagine how many bodies are buried under that stretch between Row 34 and City Tap.

I go down there now and I can't believe I'm really in Boston.

I hadn't bought any Trillium in roughly two years, but the coincidence of being nearby and a PB PM Dawn release enticed me. Sadly the PB Dawn, once a decadent treat that blew me away, was a shell of its former self. Virtually no peanut butter flavor at all. All in a all it confirmed I haven't been missing much and can return to a Trillium-free existence.

Hoping I can get some info from anyone who has visited the brewery lately:

Are to-go can sales from the brewery online only? Or can you order cans and bottles to go if you're visiting in person? Four-packs only on the cans?

Do I have to order online or can I place an order when I arrive?
All pickup orders must be placed ONLINE, IN ADVANCE. We cannot accommodate any orders not placed prior to your arrival.

Can I order single cans? Bottles?
At this time, our order interval for canned beer is by the 4-pack. Bottles may be purchased individually.

If you have a reservation for the seated beer garden, I've placed an order for beer to go and they brought it to me before leaving. But the above is true if you are not already drinking/eating on premise.
