Wasn't the Ruined Again released last year RuinTen?

    STONE RUINED AGAIN TRIPLE IPA
    Don't call it a comeback
In 2002, we introduced Stone Ruination IPA (and its imposing 100+ IBUs) as the first year-round West Coast double IPA on the planet. Then in 2012, in commemoration of its 10th anniversary, we introduced a new beer that would grow to be known as Stone RuinTen Triple IPA. Now, we’re bringing that back in all its over-the-top, cranked-to-11, maximum hoppy splendor, using every brewing technique in our arsenal to squeeze every last bit of magic out of a truly staggering amount of hops. It’s been 18 years of beautifully bitter evolution, and this stage dive into a mosh pit of hops is bigger and bitter-er than ever. Don’t call it a comeback.

I loved this stuff to the point that I'll take a brief boycott holiday if I run across a fresh 12-ounce single. Otherwise, pass. (Especially if it's a bomber.)

Always interested in anything from Stone, their IPA “back in the day” was an absolute banger. So was/is Xocoveza any of which aren’t to be found anymore here much. Arrogant bastard had its momentum too, I believe.

Yeah, it was. Happy to see it again this year, but really, it should have been Double Bastard for this year (just one man's opinion/vote ).

Further down in the article they also mention bringing back the 'fan favorite' Baird / Ishii / Stone Japanese Green Tea IPA. Gotta wonder about their polling accuracy.

This beer was incredible and was one I voted for. Their other recent tea ipa was banging, too. I’m far more excited about that then the RuinTen.

I’m furious it’s only coming back in a mixed 12 pack. I want a couple six packs of just that beer, not one and 11 others I care less about

YESSSSSSS. Hopefully it's classic RuinTen, not a RuinTen 2.0 with new hop blends. I loved the ultra-bitter, over-the-top, boozy, Devil Dancer-like RuinTen. It's not for everyone, and it doesn't need to be (and you'd think Stone would embrace that, given their marketing shtick).

Give me more old school WC hop bombs. I will drink them. I think you can see by the response to the re-release of Sublimely Self Righteous that I'm not the only one. :grinning:

That's what drives me nuts with some of these re-releases. I would love to revisit that Stone/Baird/Ishii green tea ipa, but I'll be damned if I'm going to buy a $30 mixed 12-pack to do so.

If you haven’t had Liquid Poem give it a look. It’s playing in that same area.
