Is Assassin 21’ to BA Pastry Method 1:1? How about Assassin to Eunoia b5? Thanks!

I would love to try a fruited Floodland, but not sure what is even in my range (if anything). If I were to offer up a combo of the list below, any suggestions of specific bottles I might have a chance at?
Bottle Logic Fundamental Coordinates (Sri Lanka)
    Central Waters Black Gold 2020
    Firestone DB Parabola
    Anchorage Sent by Liars
    Anchorage The Explorer
    SARA Cellarman
    Side Project Bruin 2020

I realize these aren't whales by any means, so I'm thinking like 1:3ish but would give up more for the right thing.

    Any feedback appreciated.
    Cheers

Everything beer is a whale nowadays, BA or with adjuncts. I remember when CBS was a Whale and now you can barely give them away. Your Anchorage beers are absolutely top notch! Don’t kid yourself, you got some good ones!

    :beers:

I can't comment on a completed floodland trade as I have struck out trying. I can say that while Black Gold and Bruin are quite good, they unfortunately command little trade value.

Been out of the trading game for a bit but looking to break back in.

Specifically looking for 2018 BBT. Thinking 2016 Damon +, am I off? Haven't seen a '16 move in quite a while, not sure if the amount of Damon that's been released over the past couple years has killed its value though. Thanks in advance!

I haven't seen any move, but 2018 BBT is considered the best year and moves for like 600. I can't imagine '16 Damon is even close, maybe halfway there? If it were DB Damon that's another story, but even amongst old whales, I don't think '16 Damon is all that sought after.

'16 was at 400+ in 2019 but haven't seen any since, so I just wasn't sure on it. Thx!

You can absolutely get 1-2 fruited Floodland for these bottles. A lot of solid bottles from them are accessible for around 1/2 VRU. Some bottles that are within range for you are Waxwing, Honey Punch, Firmament & Light, Inevitably it ends, Pinot, Riesling, Roseate. I would think an offer of 3:1 from your list would be solid or you can offer the whole list for 2 bottles.

I have tried a few Floodland and have found it is not my cup of tea. The flavors are a little too delicate and lacking funk for me. However, a lot of my friends really like them. Hopefully you can snag a couple bottles.

You hit on my internal debate I always have in trading...is it worth it to give up multiple stellar bottles to try one new thing? I'm not sure it is anymore.....trading is a lot harder (for me at least) recently.
Perfect! Thank you so much this is exactly the info looking was looking for.

    Cheers

Hey group, I need your assistance.

What’s “Magic Lambic” trade value? I’m going to try and get one.

    Like a Morning Delight? 3x MD’s? 10x MD’s?

    lmk and thanks

In terms of pure trade value maybe like 2 MDs, though I think 2 MDs may have a tough time getting it done due to the both the "trade up tax" and the "lambic tax". Like most lambic trades, you usually have a better shot at getting it done if you're willing to ship international.

Ah, there’s a “lambic tax” now too. Ridiculous... Alright well, crap.

    Thanks for the info

    cheers

Yeah a lot of folks who are trading lambic for beer have a strong preference to only trade their lambic for other lambic. If you're offering stouts, a lot of the time you have to go over. This is especially true for vintage lambic. It's kind of similar with limited Hill Farmstead. People with limited Hill Farmstead who are trading for beer often only want either other limited Hill Farmstead, or lambic. Trading stouts for it often requires you to go over.

Unfortunately this is the current state of affairs. Good luck with the trade, I hope you are successful and please post what it ends up closing for if you don't mind.

Thanks! I'll probably hold off till I have something worth trading.....according to the advise given here, I'd have to give up $100+ worth of beer for a bottle that goes for $100 secondary. Trades like that don't make any sense so I'd rather drink the beer or go after something else.

Probably a smart choice. I personally don't think you are missing out on anything life altering. There is also just so much good beer out there you don't need to overpay for hype beers anymore.

    Hey folks,

Is trying to swop a AC Dave’s Vanilla for BA ICGCC or Swamp Rats realistic?

I know they all came from the same set / price. I’d offer a cool extra to it.

Lost cause? No one will do it? I totally got it?

    lmk thanks

I'm thinking that will be a tough trade better off using the daves for a different anchor towards the BAIGCC

Not sure I'll actually do this, but would a Side Project DM (im the original owner, stored cold) pull a KBBS 2020 1:1? Plus on either side? Haven't seen many trades with DM, so not sure this would be worth the effort (trading a 750 for a 12 oz....questionable)
    Thanks in advance
    Cheers
