I long for the simpler times in this thread. The complex topics of debate were bait and switch sales practices or muling. It all went down hill when the regions got merged. Thanks alot Pennsylvania.

Maybe SH did say that she's a smart and talented brewer.

Unfortunately we'll never know what SH actually said, because Brienne doesn't give any details. For all we know she never even heard whatever was said first-hand. It reads more like something that was relayed to her by someone else.

If you feel the need to reduce this discussion to straw-men like that, in order to make yourself feel better or feel as if you're "winning", then you probably shouldn't be discussing at all.

You provided tangentially relevant data and hoisted it up as if it were an apples to apples comparison.

An actual report filed to police? Yes, that is something that has an extremely high probability of being true.

Second-hand, anonymous stories about quasi-celebrities posted online? If you want to say that they are "likely" true, eh, whatever, I have no problem with that. But to sit there and expect the public to accept stories like that as being "overwhelmingly" likely to be true is flat out absurd.

One can believe that sexual violence and harassment is rampant in society and specifically in the beer industry, and can accept this most of the stories posted are grounded in some measure of truth, and advocate for increased accountability and awareness of misogyny, one can do all of that while still not accepting every story brienne posted as 100% factually accurate.

And that's okay. That's actually a very reasonable position to take. But there are a vocal few who find that unacceptable and equate it to saying "these women are liars".

    It's honestly absurd.

Why would Shaun Hill's brewer tell Brienne one thing, if Shaun said something completely different?

Because that's what often happens in real life?

Paraphrasing someone else's words, interpreting what someone says as meaning one thing when it could have been another.

Or maybe Shaun Hill really told the other brewer "hey, I've got a couch set up at my airbnb because I'm going to fuck Brienne!"

Yeah, that sounds like him.

It’s a much more reasonable and measured position than I think you were presenting in your earlier posts.

Why would someone paraphrase a nice professional compliment as "He set up the couch in his AirBnB to have sex with you?" The couch thing is a specific detail, not a paraphrase.

How well do you know him? Are you friends?

He’s weird enough that I do believe what was shared about him. His arrogance makes it extremely likely

Playing Devil's advocate, if he said, "Hey, I've got a couch set up at my AirBnb because she's fucked up," is a different meaning entirely, but one that could easily be lost in translation.
I'm not defending him at all here; these allegations are disturbing to say the least, and if true, he deserves to be blackballed. However, 3rd party hearsay is far different than first-hand accusations.

Damn - what a steaming cess pool in here. Went to order beers and HF website has been down all morning. I know it’s crazy - but I can’t help but think about the remote possibility that SH has just said F- it - never to be seen again.

I was planning to make a trip from Boston to HF on Friday but in looking at their website, is their taproom currently not open and they're only open for curbside pickup???
