After further research I found out it’s been out for years but this got my mind jogging. How many breweries out there are using their creativity and culinary equipment to make thing beyond just our favorite beers, and actually distributing them? Surely Founders can’t be the only case. The income they’ve generated over this since 2016(the earliest mention of it I could find on the internet) is surely an exceptional amount. Does your favorite brewery make and distribute other goods especially food and do you think it substantially contributes to their bottom line?

Ballast Point made a really good Bloody Mary mix. It sold well.

Yeah that was the other thing I was wondering was how much of it was made by the brewery and how much of it was just a branding deal. I’ll have to look into it more on the Founders end.

New Belgium and Niman Ranch have a Fat Tire Bratwurst and a Mango Habanero Voodoo Ranger Bratwurst as well.

Yeah Founders has all kinds of stuff. And as I’m finding out, it seems like a lot others have a selection in one form or another as well.

I know Tree House has branched into Coffee Roasting, Cold Brew Coffee and Maple Syrup (this could be seasonal) as well as recently opened a Farm and sells their Fruit & Produce. Won't doubt they'll have a standalone Farm to Table restaurant at some point in the future.

I’d guess that a lot of these products are licensed by the brewery, though they might have some input on the product. The Founders cheese dip is made by Superior Foods. Around here, Revolution put their logo on brats and sausages sold at Jewel grocery stores. For the last few years Goose Island has partnered with local businesses on BCBS-related items like pies, hot sauce, gelato, etc. Pre-COVID, they even did a Willy Wonka style giveaway with those products: randomly inserted golden tickets to Prop Day.

Caputo Brothers Creamery and Tröegs Independent Brewing collaborated on 3 different "beer" cheeses (Perpetual IPA, Troegenator, and Mad Elf). Also, Yuengling has ice cream and assorted BBQ sauces.

That sounds awesome. Thanks for doing the search on the Founders, I was suspect that a lot of the food items especially were probably licensed.
This seems like a trend. HOMES has their own line of coffee as well.

I have had both and both are good. My kids (elementary school age) really like the Fat Tire Brats. The Mango Habanero Voodoo Ranger IPA Brats have a good amount of heat to them.

Do you know if they’re licensed or made in house?
