Olde Hickory Shere Khan. A mad concoction involving bourbon, rye, and gin barrel aging. Billed as a TIPA, but doesn't drink like one. More like a very sweet Barleywine. Still very good regardless. My only regret is the lack of a decent glass to drink from.

 

Kicking off my beer day with a new brew from Single Hill over in Yakima, Chook Sanger. It has Eclipse, Enigma, and Vic Secret hops from Aussieland. It's not really hitting my spots though.

An additional note, 7/10/21 is Flannel Night at American Family Field, as the Milwaukee Brewers host the Cincinnati Reds at 6:15pm CST, with 100% capacity! Reds fans can meet me at noon at 3 Sheeps Brewing, head to the game, and make it back to HangOverEasy in Cincinnati, OH, by 6am EST on 7/11/21!

This beer from my city is quite delicious! I will try to save some for yous who make it on 7/10/21! Even NBA fans in Miami, FL, and Boston, MA, just want to see Milwaukee Bucks versus Brooklyn Nets in the next round of the playoffs! We have Milwaukee Brewers' own Brian Anderson calling the Bucks/Heat game on TNT! It is over!

a) Pear colored Nectar honey body with foamy pollen head and lace.
s) Floral, Mango, peach, orchard, blossoms, white wine.
t) follows aroma, nice see-saw from the fruit salad to peppery spicey finale.
f) creamy, sharp, hides ABV well, jammy and flavor-packed.
o) jazz.

12th review. Candied, marmalade, bitter DIPA, pine and candied rind.
a) Totally clear golden amber, with 1 finger head that laces bits.
s) Marmlade strewn with sharp pine, almost woodshop sap. 4 Cs in evidence!
t) Big hops, challenges your senses, caramel adds to the marmalade sharp, rindy bliss.
f) Sticky, velvety, good thickness.
o) Agree it’s close to Ruination. piercing, potent, power pour. Sum greater than parts.

1st Review. This is what WHALER should be. Perfected in DIPA. At the brewer and drove 4 home.
a) Slashing foam like a twin outboard, lasting head over turbid body.
s) Adds dimensions of grass, hemp, wood to the fruity NE IPA classic.
t) Enjoying the hempy, grassy, woody notes.
f) Mineral, wine-like, astringent, bitter overcomes the fruit as it should.
o) Test drive blind vs other NE DIPAs.

 

Outer Range I Miss Loud Taprooms DDH Mosaic DIPA (Mosaic/Styrian Wolf). Going to enjoy this one and then head to Chicago for a good friend’s bday. With this being the first holiday weekend since things have really started to open up, I have a feeling I’ll be in some loud taprooms today and I’m looking forward to it! Cheers BA!
