Kegged two hoppy 5% beers and a Imperial Oatmeal stout with Tahitian Vanilla and some Geisha coffee from Onyx.

The hoppy beers were a split batch of wort that got a different ratio of the same hops in the DH. Nectaron/586 with a touch of Citra. Maybe the mot tropical aromas I’ve ever experienced in a beer I’ve brewed.

Going to brew a dark mild and hopefully krausen the Imperial Stout with it, we’ll see.

[IMG] Kegged the Red X IPA from BYO magazine today. Not as red as I thought it would be. Might add chocolate malt next time. Also taste weird like raw peanuts with a vegetal after taste. Not a good beer at the moment. I’ll let it sit for a bit and try again. Sad news on my end. I lost my brother last week. He was a vet suffering ptsd and he will be buried on Tuesday. He left behind two daughters and a wife. Let’s remember our vets this weekend and maybe buy one beer if you see them. I’m gonna name this “Bucko” on Untappd after him. That was his nickname he went by.

Brewing a mango wheat - my first repeated beer. I brewed it for my wife last summer and it was a hit among our friends. I am making a few changes though, due to availability:
750 grams of pilsner because I didn't have enough pale malt.
El Dorado because I couldn't get Azacca.
Lallemand Belgian Wit instead of Mangrove Jack's

Also dry hopped my hoppy pale with one ounce Simcoe and Amarillo and 2 ounces Mandarina Bavaria. Maybe this is more like a session IPA. Should come in a 5.2%.

May your brew day go well!

Thank you guys for all the condolences!!! I really appreciate it. It means a lot to me. Gonna brew up a beer in his honor for the Hops in the Hills festival coming to my area soon. It’ll be hot so I’m trying to think of what to brew. I’ve never done a kettle sour or philly yeast sour. Maybe this who knows

@Brewday nevermind I found them. Order Apple/toasted marshmallow/French vanilla/toasted coconut. I have a Apple brandy barrel with a stout in it right now. May try the apple flavor in a sample and see how it taste or one of all lol.

Brewing up a Kolsch/Helles type beer later today. Basically it's supposed to be a Kolsch, but using yeast I have on hand so no dedicated Kolsch yeast strain, so using 2206 fermented warmer (~60F). Either way, it should be delicious regardless.

Basically a mix of Pils/Munich/Vienna (90/10/10) with a touch of acidulated and biscuit.

Just getting all the equipment out and grain measured at the moment.

First brew day in a long time. Had to take some time off after closing on a new house/moving hell. Decided on an Amber Oat Saison w/ spruce tips since I finally have some trees in my backyard! One Gal batch, Saaz/ Hersbrucker in the boil, 5oz Spruce tips at flameout. WYFarmhouse for primary, mixed culture at bottling.

Bottled the Black Trappist. 4 oz of oak for a month is not to much at all. Nice material.
Next up IRS tomorrow ageing on oak and sugar maple, but soaked first in bourbon.

Just curious, are you using physical key lime pie in the mash??
