I'm starting off Memorial Day with a 3Floyds Zombie Dust. It just doesn't get much better than this one. Truly outstanding.

 

Hop forward beers aren't my usual brews, but I know what the best ones taste like. So when I get that hoppy itch I scratch it with one of the best there is.

 

Remembering all who sacrificed it all to give us the freedom that we enjoy. And to all that have served and continue to serve, especially both my late grandfathers (Army & Navy), my late Uncles (both Army), & my late father-in-law (Navy). My grandfather on my dad's side served in WWI and on my mother's side WWII. Both came back. I never met my dad's father he passed before I was born. Lifting a Shiner Sea Salt & Lime Lager in their honor today, may they rest in peace, all at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery.

Windmill Northwoods Pecan-te Imperial Maple Pecan Porter. Plenty of pecan and maple in this one, but thankfully manages to avoid getting too sweet. Dangerously drinkable for 12.5%.

Absolutely gorgeous day here in the Kanawha Valley...it’s sunny, and 65° with a mild breeze and low humidity. Lunch beer - eine kleine Biermusik Kölsch by Weathered Ground Brewery, Cool Ridge WV:



My best find in WV...I bought the last 2 4packs in Barboursville yesterday, and we drank most of those already! I’m packing up the RV for my drive back to Florida, which begins tomorrow morning. Pity, the weather here is so nice, I’d love to stay a bit longer. Cheers gang!

I've moved on to 21st Amendment Blah Blah Blah IPA. Great can art. The beer is hoppy, with a strong malt backbone. Grapefruit, pine & vague citrus. A really nice one.

Back to a Jai Alai while watching some of stage 2 of the Critirum du Daphne. The European scenery you see during the broadcast from the high-def cameras on the helicopter's is amazing. You don't see anything like it if driving on the roads.
