The camper is 90% packed...tomorrow I pack the mini-fridge and Yeti with beer and food, my shaving kit, and my Martin D-28. Next up, WW’s “Freak of Nature” DIPA:

    Good afternoon BA
I hadn't been to the liquor store for two weeks due to work. Stopped in today and picked up a six pack of this
    [IMG]
    Einstok Icelandic Artic Lager

I only checked the date at the store, so I was surprised to see the dry hopping and Citra cryo hops mentioned in the description. My review is posted on NBW.

    Cheers all!

Alphabetical Order Pink Guava Gose, from Company Brewing. Quite refreshing after a long run today. Remembering those who gave the ultimate sacrifice today.

Six days of work done, and the heat is here. Fuck. Better have some beers.

As a Swede, I’ve been shielded from my country being involved in armed conflict. I will still raise a glass to those who selflessly put themselves in danger for something bigger than themselves. Unfortunately, the folly and cruelty of man will always demand such sacrifice, and I am lucky that there are many better and braver men than I who are willing to do it. To the fallen.

Good afternoon! Starting a bit stronger than I normally would, but I wanted to get this out of the fridge. 3 Floyd’s Dreadnaught.

Homebrewed Kolsch (generously given to me by a friend), made with some wheat (hence the haze) and some extra hops (cuz this is Murica), served in a stange. Delicious...

Brothership Earth Go Harder DDH TIPA (Sabro/Citra). It’s tropical hop juice and dangerously smooth, but I actually think I prefer the DIPA version more. Had more of a brightness and bitterness from the hops to it from what I remember. Regardless, I’m still quite lucky to be enjoying the quality of beer these guys produce.

Weathered Souls Brewing Co. -- Castling (schwarzbier)

    3.86/5 rDev -3.5%
    look: 4.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

Dark brown body crowned with a thick, creamy and frothy light khaki colored head. Fine smell combing roasted grain and cocoa. Decent if rather weak flavor; light cocoa with moderate hop bitterness; odd phenolic sharpness. Heavy body; smooth with a respectable residual sugar presence.

This is a decent schwarzbier overall.

Poured at 49° F; bottom of can data: QUEEN'S GAMBIT 11/23/20

Enjoying my last Anchor Steam. Hopefully, I'll be able to find more of it in cans. Such a flavorful lager. One of my favorites, and to think the 1st time I had one I didn't think it would be something I'd buy again. But, by the time I had finished the 6 pack, that feeling had changed. Anybody else have a beer that they weren't impressed with at first that became a favorite after a few more?

I was excited to see this in my Wegmans build a sixer for $11.99 section. Sierra Nevada 2021 Bigfoot Barleywine. It has not let me down. It's full of caramel, toffee and dried fruits. There's also vague hoppiness. This is a really good one.
