Schilling Beer Co. (2021)

Another drop of Landbier in southern NH. Still my favorite beer from them - so tasty @ 4.2% ABV.

Last night tried the Grafton Street American Lager. Easy, no-fuss summer drinker, can definitely taste the noble hops and some sweet corn flavor, nice fizzy mouthfeel. Another winner.

I'd drink more of it if in a 12 X 12 oz package size though.

 

Had this last weekend. Absolutely fantastic. Just so soft and creamy with notes of freshly baked bread, vanilla, roasted nuts and chocolate. Beautiful beer.

 

I spent Friday afternoon drinking glass after glass of this out on the tasting room deck (mammosilenus had designated driver duty). But then I thought the cans I brought home were only just OK. I’m never sure if I’m being delusional insisting that things are better on draft but, FWIW, it’s better on draft.

 

only had a can, but I believe you. Feel that way about most beers.

 

I feel like Lukr taps really improve the draft experience. As much as I love Notch cans, a fresh draft pull from their Lukr tap is on a whole other level.

 

Just saw footage of the Schilling building on fire, I hope it is relatively minor.

Just want to add my support for all things Schilling. Between them, Notch, and Jack's Abby, I'm sittin' pretty. My favorite from Schilling has been Modernism. Love that beer.

 

Just had a shot of the roof fire of the pub shared...praying they get it under control with hopefully minimal damage!

 

A little nerve-wracking watching that video. They have such a beautiful spot there I'd hate to see anything happen to it. Saw the FB post that everyone's safe first and foremost, and luckily the production facility and store is unharmed and open right now. They're saying it looks like it's days, not weeks, before the pub/pizza kitchen is back open inside.

A friend of mine was in the area yesterday and asked me to meet him for dinner at Schilling (unfortunately I couldn't make it), but 10 minutes later he sent me a picture of flames coming off the roof. Glad they got it under control quickly and no one got hurt.

 

I feel like to celebrate the kitchen reopening they should brew a Rauchbier.

 

Every good brewery should brew a rauchbier IMO
