    Good morning advocates, I am currently enjoying a nice and rare enough treat. Purchased earlier this morning at the beer store. We were talking a bit with the owner and I mentioned that I have always liked 3F slightly better than Cantillon. Her retort was that Belgium and Brussels keeps its treats and the best of them so it’s pretty hard to find the top tier Cantillon outside of Brussels. I granted her that point.

    Drinking Lawson's Scrag Mountain Pils, it's a little heavy on the lime. I will
    definitely have a few after I mow the lawn. Good to see you replenished the
    beer supply @Shanex I was concerned

    Another beer, and a new one: Gordon Finest Gold.
    Sort of a collab between the Brits and Belgians giving birth to this strong (10% ABV) pale lager. I likey. No complaints.

    Good morning, Advocates! As our neighbors across the pond might say, I am officially on holiday - even if it doesn't quite feel like it, as I'm super busy with everything going on right now. But it does mean that I don't have work, and that does mean that it's time for a breakfast beer. :grinning:

    Good morning BAs! Easy to sleep in as the temps were in the 50°s last night and it’s 57° now - coffee time - FBS:

    Bottled 1/25/21. Poured at 50° (my chiller is colder than I remembered). I’ll dally a day longer and head into Asheville to get lunch and visit a couple of breweries...tough day, right? Have a wonderful Wednesday y’all and Cheers!

    If retirement means taking the road in the RV and visit a few breweries while having FBS in the morning, sign me in.

    [​IMG] A new strain of yeast created Alexander’s Quest, a spin on the Flagship NEDIPA. Pours a milky yellow with a finger sticky white head that leaves thin streaks of lace with excellent retention. 4.75

    Aroma ripe cantaloupe, mandarin orange, pineapple, papaya, apricot, and a little hint of grapefruit rind. 4.5

    Taste follows cantaloupe, mandarin, pineapple, papaya, apricot, and a little hit of grapefruit rind in the balanced finish. 4.5

    Mouthfeel is above average, not sticky or dry, soft creamy carbonation, and at 8% easy drinking but really big on flavor. 5

    Overall this one is pretty darn special, Quest is still awesome, but this new strain of yeast making this beer hard to stop sipping. 4.5

    I just had a Yuengling Lager at Tonelli's in Horsham, PA. I don't know what it was, but the beer had a perfect head. Big & fluffy, long lasting and it left great lacing. I'm unfamiliar with Lager having such a great head.

    Now I'm back home and drinking a Dogfish Head Hazy-O! It's an interesting take on a NEIPA. It's "brewed with 1. malted, 2. rolled, 3. naked oats & 4. oat milk." The oats give it a creamy taste and feel. Oats in a NEIPA = unique. I like it, but Wifey doesn't.
