Says 2oz minimum. I wonder if that's supposed to mean maximum?

2 oz maximum would be ridiculous. 1 oz pours would lead to inaccurate pours and spillage. I’m sure they’ll still sell full bottles for $150 to make it easier for groups. This makes the hassle for people going solo and trying to split bottles a non-issue.

Any respectable bartender can pour an ounce. I'm not saying with any certainty that 2oz is the max or the min, but it did raise a question in my mind. Certainly nobody knows how many MJK bottles they have for onsite. What if it is only a few dozen? In that case, a 2oz max makes sense. If it's several hundred or more, then a 2oz minimum makes more sense.

It’s definitely 2oz minimum - that’s both what the website says and what they said at the soft opening

I both really appreciate the fact that MJK is available for per oz pours and wince a bit at the $6 per oz price tag. Will I pay it? Absolutely. Will it slow MJK selling out? Maybe. Kudos to SP for finding a way to get very high-end stuff to as many folks as possible.

FOMO drove me to wait for 1.5 hours for a 6oz pour of MJK. Totally worth it, but there were people walking in off the street at 4:15pm, so not necessary.

MJK was something special. Along with Fuzzy b2, the two were the stars of the day. MJK is one of those beers you remember where you were the first time you tried it. I savored 1 glass for 2-hours and the flavor profile changed throughout that 2-hours. Thick, stout-like at first sip it evolved into something in between stout, barleywine, and top-shelf bourbon after 2-hours. It is a perfect beer by any account. Notes of chocolate, fig, dates, and decadent bourbon.

For those that are not as fortunate to try these beers locally, trade for it now! MJK is one of the most unique beers I have had in my life. Right up there with the first time I had OWK, D9, or D12. I have had a lot of barleywine and consider myself somewhat of a barleywine ****, so believe me when I tell you this is next level stuff.

So happy that the cellar is back open!!!

Got there around 2:30, got my beer around 3:30. Not bad. Had a few oz of MJK. Wow. Lives up to the hype. I've never had anything like it. I would never guess 20% ABV, seems like 12. So bold and complex. I think I made a mistake having it before Sulla Terra, as it just didn't seem anywhere close to MJK, although it was an excellent barleywine. Coffee Crawl was also fantastic, great balance between stout, maple, coffee, and bourbon. And ended with Foeder Red on cask, which was a treat since cask has pretty much been nonexistent anywhere in the last year. What an amazing menu. I could have stayed all day and not tried everything I wanted to.

The additional patio seating was super clutch. It'll make for enjoyable summer sessions. Started with a tasty Sulla Terra, then shifted into another gear with MJK. Same on it not drinking like 20 ABV, so easy to drink yet so nuanced. They ran out of gin BdP by 4ish, but I guess that was to be expected. Thanks to SP for an awesome setup and amazing lineup!

Yeah, I'd have to trade every beer I own for it. Although it would probably be worth it.

It's unfortunate that MJK largely trades for bourbon or $ short of having OWK, Bakes or something else at that level. It's great though that SP made it easily accessible to locals to try.

Lol, I was not thinking last night when I wrote that :relaxed:. I was under the spell of MJK, but in the light of day I realize how ridiculous of a comment that was.
