    Never had a Roggenbier before coming across this one, would drink others. It's very good.

    Half Acre is a great brewery on Balmoral Ave, but I always stop at Spiteful first if I'm in the neighborhood.

    Good morning @ChicagoJ and all,

    I’ve had one beer from Half Acre thanks to a different person from your city and enjoyed it immensely. Michigan do have some fairly exceptional beers and stouts in particular but Illinois cannot be overlooked. :wink:

    Drinking Belgian at the moment and the latest Duvel 6,66 a blonde or pale ale. Cheers!

    Good morning BAs! I’m 90% packed and ready to start another travel day...I’ve had a productive morning, so it’s coffee time - Big Timber’s “Porter”:

    Best By 10/6/21. Poured at 53°. Bitter roast coffee and chocolate, and only 6.5%. My second best find among the WV beer scene. Looks like it may be a rainy day driving south, oh well, I’d rather drive in the rain than camp in it. Cheers from Candler NC!

    Crystal clear, deep gold body; lively carbonation; thick frothy and semi-creamy white head. Nice cereal grain smell; a touch of toasted wheat noted. Excellent taste; fantastic blend of toasted grain and light roasted coffee; not very sweet yet with a light caramel touch; mild hop bitterness. Medium body; smooth, rich and full mouthfeel; semi-dry character.

    This tasty coffee beer delivers tasty treats to the palate. It is superbly balanced, nuanced, and comes with intriguing complexity.
