I have officially completed my first year of teaching so I'm treating myself tonight

 

Hot tub time. Stone Incessant Double NEIPA. The Mrs. Came through & got me good, not great tickets to see these guys



Thrilled, but damn those tickets were damn pricey!

 

Hey, so this is the other beer from Catskill, Ball Lightning, and no kidding - it's pretty damn on-point, too - outta the can (as opposed to the in-store sampling), it tasted a little sweeter, but not to any detriment - a nice pale malt lager, a little bit of grainy chew, honeyed sweetness on the grains and a mild citrus and pine and herb hop profile... Might be a bit too sweet for purists (?), but it is a highly drinkable lager with a good mix of heft and height (<-- make of that what you will!)... Great aftertaste of drying alcoholic grain... Perhaps not as good as their black lager but I don't have a bad thing to say about it... *remote homerism possibly in effect* lol - I'm really digging it - glad I got a 4-pack of both...

Way earlier this afternoon, lemme tell ya - a hard seltzer can be a solid choice...

This was a watermelon cucumber hard seltzer from Two Robbers - 5.2% abv and crisp and clean - it's not sweet though - my wife hates 'em lol - and not bitter either - it's just flavored alcoholic, carbonated water - and damn if it doesn't quench...

I know where some of the time goes...

Jordan Love apparently threw a ball from Lambeau Field that evidently landed at the new Dave and Busters down the road, and that ball won a race on the Mario Kart arcade game. @russpowell, Scott Hunter is certainly beloved here in Titletown, USA, but the 1970s' Packers are usually not discussed for any reason that I have been involved in.

That frosty lump on the plate is a slice of Apple Pistachio Strudel I made last week. I am not sure it will defrost to enjoy with this beer, so I may have to employ the mwave.
