Yeah, I sort of remember that now -- no dating (clearly visible, anyway) on the wraparound packaging.

But "taking that chance" was easy with the new packaging... right now.

Hello... Anchor? Nice dating on the cans, but...

I can't remember about the cans now either. I see the new label and am confident it is fresh enough. I do know that the canned on date is printed on the bottom of cans. I'm just not sure if it is printed on the packaging but I think so.

I remember turning that box around and around and couldn't find a date. It might be printed lightly or "camouflaged" with graphics and color, but I couldn't find it.

Only picked it up because of what you realized too -- brand new packaging (no pun), brand new beer!

Oh, that could be problematic then as time passes by. Usually the Steam is in cans or bottles and not both. Which raises the issue of 12 pack bottles..... I'm guessing no visible date then but I tend to buy 6 packs of Anchor products.

And the 12-pack mixed-pack I saw next to the new packaging wasn't a new package.

That's what I probably picked up a few months ago but hopefully fresher.

After a horrific rainstorm was over, I sat in the back yard with two cans of the Crisp Pilsner. It wasn't a Pilsner; it was an okay beer for sitting in the sun. An AAL in flavor. I would prefer Founder's Solid Gold for this function, but it doesn't seem to be available in New Jersey lately.

The boss brought out some hazy little thing and I had my first couple of them in at least a year, maybe 15 months. I just can't fathom how this is the beer that is dominating sales and inspiring so many spin offs. It's OK, bright citrusy flavor, but I just don't see the appeal of these beers. Especially as everyday drinkers

How’s about a SN lager-sampler or a sampler with Flipside, Ruthless, Tumbler, and Kolsch? Problem with SN samplers is the pale ale or torpedo which are great beers, but I can get his anytime, anywhere.

Changed recipe or something, I know a lot of original Sixpoint crew has been gone…that beer used to be out-freaking-standing!

I believe the poster is referencing the new Anchor Crisp Pilsner...

This is Anchor's first pilsner as far as I know. The time I tried it it tasted like some sort of household cleaning product which I chalk up to "working out the wrinkles" in the production process. I do want to read others' take on it.

Sierra should replace a Funeral pack for their retired brands. Stout/Porter/Summerfest/XXXX? (let's be honest, probably have to be Pale Ale if this were ever really a thing).

Just so we.could all say goodbye to our fallen loved ones

Whenever anything (concert tickets, beer, hot new car, lastest CD) is said to "limited", I always think, "Hmmm ... as opposed to an infinite number being available?"

Didn't Coors have a "limited" label some years back? BMC is pretty infinite, so that could have been pretty redundant.
