I’m not sure our group has many safe senders for a new participant. “Shock and awe” is a common theme for our senders. We’ve finally rebuilt the foundation on our home after the damage wrought in the latest NBW BIF by @WunderLlama and a host of other beer nerd hooligans.

Deep slightly hazy amber color with a large uneven white head.
Aroma of overripe peach, orange peel, hay , and rosemary.
Ripe stone fruit flavor up front with a more savory slightly piny dry finish. I taste some citrus and bready malt int the background. It is also a little tart and earthy. Very complex flavors in here.
Medium bodied and smooth. Good carbonation throughout.
Overall a very enjoyable beer. Not something I would drink every day but I wish I had got more than one can.

    Hello NBS.
Sorry I am late to the party. Trying to catch up on the musings. So far I have hit our ever reflective @JackHorzempa ... Love that one. He said, "In the can." He he he <my best Beavis and Butthead imitation.

So I am hitting this little surprise from @Victory_Sabre1973
Nice surprise hit in NBS BIF #13

Deep, dark almost black, sandy cap that rises 2+ fingers in height. Excellent retention. Layers of light lacing leave slight sedimentary like lines.
Smell is bursting with action. Sweet, chewy nuttiness, and a pronounced raspberry jam aroma.
Well, well, well. The flavors follow faithfully. But the raspberry jam battles the peanut butter and malt for the spotlight.
The mouthfeel is less than chewy (even though the flavors make you wanna chew), but not thin. Mild carbonation. No heat.
Overall, the nose really had me, if the flavors melded a tad more like the nose, I'd be blown away.

This is a really solid take on a PB&J. Hit it if you get a chance!

Yes, Hair of the Dog beers are often, intentionally, still.

It’s interesting and takes some getting used to (as do the prices), but damn if they aren’t often tasty beer.
