I’m going to Atlanta in a few weeks for a couple of weekend Braves games. While I’ll be staying near the park, I do plan on taking an Uber into the city during the daytime. What breweries or beer bars should I seek out? Any place that doubles as a great food spot?
    Thanks in advance

Sorry, I wished I had seen this question sooner. Maybe you haven't made your trip yet.
Wrecking Bar Brewpub is always a great choice. So is Porter Beer Bar.

Must see breweries inside the Perimeter: Arches, Halfway Crooks, & Monday Night. New Realm is a cool spot too with great beer & food.
Out near Truist Park, Reformation Brewing is a good stop. School House and Dry County are near Kennesaw/Marietta.

If you are up for a bit of a drive, Tucker Brewing in Tucker is fantastic. Great beers, nice taproom and the largest outdoor beer garden in GA. They also serve German style food there.

Also may depend on the type of beers you like. Arches, Tucker & Halfway Crooks are top spots for lager styles. I hear good things about Round Trip, but have not had anything there yet.

Most of the Atlanta breweries do a good job with IPAs, Sours, & Stouts; so it's not to hard to find good ones at the local breweries.

Hope you enjoy your visit! Cheers!

I go June 19th so plenty of time. Thank you for the tips! I’m Uber only but it looks like there will still be some good options. Is Orpheus a pass or a place I should stop? I enjoy lagers and German beers though I do drink IPA’s (hazy and otherwise) the most

If you are looking for some unique beers, Orpheus is a good stop. Not well known for lagers. IPA, sours & barrel aged are the choices there.

I'm very much a lager style beer drinker myself but I enjoy just about anything.

Arches, Halfway Crooks & Tucker are your bests for lagers in GA.

Also, Creature Comforts is out of Athens. If you see anything on a menu from them, it's a good bet. Tropicalia IPA is their top seller. But they have some good lagers too.

Hope you enjoy your trip and let us know what you liked!

I was in Atlanta a few years ago and thought Orpheus had some really good barrel aged stouts and funk if you like to try some different stuff.

I liked Wrecking Bar a lot also. Really good food and their dry hopped Juice Willis was probably the best NEIPA that I had in Atlanta.

Hey ATLians! Bumping this. I'm headed down this week and gonna do some brew shopping at Tower Beer and Greens. Anything besides Creature Comforts that I should grab? Thanks in advance!

Again, it really depends on what you like. If you like Hazy IPA, New Realm Hazy Like a Fox and Cherry Street Steppin' Razor are great choices. Stout (adjunct) - Six Bridges Silent Accord Milk Stout w/ coconut. Straight stout - hard to beat Pretoria Fields Walker Station. Lagers - Arches Brewing just released Black Gold Schwarzbier, which is outstanding. Arches Mexican Empire Vienna Lager is also solid. Marzen - Tucker Brewing Tucktoberfest and Printer's Ale Monoprint. Also, Akademia Brewing has some underrated beers. Their Parallax IPA series is nice and they just released Death Ripper NEIPA (I haven't had this one, but Akademia is pretty reliable with NEIPAs).

Hope that helps and happy shopping! Cheers!
