I'm splitting a pint of Winding Path Raspberry Sour Ale with Wifey. It delivers on the promised raspberry sour, but there's not a whole lot more going on. It's still good and I can see this one going fast on a hot day.

Friday afternoon greetings BA's! Got something very different from my usuals courtesy of my sister. She was given some ciders and beers by a local distributor and, lucky me, she doesn't drink beer! This is Atlanta's Orpheus Brewing and a limited Sour Wild Ale Plants Have No Memories, made with Gewurtztraminer grape juice 6.5% abv. Thought I would hate it. Ended up enjoying it. White grapes are prominent. It has a sweet & tart thing going with a noticeable graininess start to finish. It's light and refreshing. Chill and drink fresh I say! Cheers!

My family is officially celebrating my Father's Day a week early, because next weekend we fly down to California to celebrate with my dad (who turned 80 last summer). This is how my Father's Day weekend begins. Cheers and happy Friday!

Transient ‘19 Buckley Reserve #2 (whiskey foeder and BLIS maple bourbon barrel aged imperial stout w/ coffee, vanilla, and maple). On draft at the source. Aged really well. Not nearly as hot as it once was, but it still has a nice pop of barrel. Luscious chocolate, vanilla, maple, oaky bourbon goodness. Holy moly this is fantastic.

 

Still at Tröegs and you know what’s next… Nimble Giant. Stay thirsty my friends!

Drinking Guinness Draught

 

Feelin' alright on a Friday afternoon. I had to go back by one of my local bottle shops that I knew still had Creature Comforts Everything Is...Riwaka. CCB does a great job with these Single Hop pilsners and I just love this series. They've done Strata, Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic and others. This one features Riwaka hops. It's a pretty unique hops. You get citrus hops and a little tropical fruit with some peppery notes. Subtle, yet firm with a mild bitterness. Very well crafted pilsner.




It's really hard not to get caught up in this song when you hear it.
