I'm drinking Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. This was my gateway beer into craft beer back in the 90s. This is the first time I've had it in a number of years. It's not drinking as special as it once was to me but there will always be a soft spot in my heart for this one.

 

Altbier from the garage tap. Smoooth.

 

Victory Sour Monkey is in my glass now. There's lemon and apple tartness aplenty. I've gotten a lot more into sour beers this year and this is a really good one. Wifey really likes it, too.

 

After really enjoying the Wee Heavy by the same brewery yesterday, I went and bought more. Decided to try their XX Cream Ale. Glad I bought only the single.

 

Went on an early hike and now it's too hot to do anything.

Hot as the Dickens and only getting hotter through Thursday here on the Front Range.

Moving on from Sour Monkey to its little brother, Tart Monkey from Victory. This was a side-by-side that went exactly as I expected. Sour Monkey was the bigger, better brother. Tart Monkey put up a fight with guava and a peculiar Belgian yeast, but in the end, it just couldn't hang with its big brother.

Here's one I don't have to share b/c Wifey doesn't like IPAs. 3 Floyds Barbarian Haze IPA. It's their NEIPA and it's good. Mango, pineapple and orange aplenty. I rated it 4.05, just a tick above its BA average of 3.97.

 

All In Peach Pale Ale from 56 brewing. Meh.

 

Not bad. I like what Founders did here.

 

This is more excellent stuff from this young brewery.

I'm off work for a couple more days and got a clean bill of health (annual checkup) from the Dr. this morning. Drinking more yellow beer these days...

This one is not good. Not even skunked, just not good. I've got 5 more so I envision them being pressed into service as closers or lawn mowing beers. Cheers all!
