On June 14th, 1982, The Pretenders fired Pete Farndon for issues he caused related to his drug problem. He passed away ten months later. Two days later, James Honeyman-Scott died of drug complications. Chrissy Hinde and Martin Chambers went on to recruit Robbie McIntosh and Malcolm Foster and record their biggest album ever. Chrissy was also into her second trimester while all this was going on. Don't think anyone other than Chrissy could pull this off.

    RIP Jimmy.

"What do you mean I can't get to work on time? Got nothing better to do" Literally anything would be better than going to fucking work tonight. Hope the fucking place burns down before I get there

No doubt we will get together soon. I will be showing my partner around Vermont, probably in the Fall, and may be working out of NH very soon.

Soquel Fermentation Project -- Dark Wild #2 (oak barrel aged sour with fruit and sea salt)

    4.25/5 rDev +3.4%
    look: 4.25 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25

Dark, reddish brown body, mahogany; thick and lasting khaki head, sudsy. Smells of cider and sherry; dried oak. Outstanding taste; orange and sea salt are prevalent; balck cherry; mildly sour and tart; a hard to describe earthiness lingers far in the background. Medium body; soft and velvety on the palate; acidic; citrus tang and juiciness.

This is a well-produced wild ale. The judicious use of sea salt nicely offsets the wild / sour character of the beer.

Poured at 64° F; no dating info except for the front label (VINTAGE 2020) and the bottom of the can reads: CAN CONDITION LIVE PRODUCT

Worked a half-shift today, and am kicking back with a brew courtesy of @Pinz412 and NBS BIF #13; Young 2019 from Strange Roots Brewing. A wild ale from the wilds of Pittsburgh.

For a "session" IPA clocking in at 4% this is pretty good.

Plenty of bitterness…doesn’t seem as grapefruity as a few weeks ago; still good. Cheers!
