    Howdy dudes and dudettes!

Currently enjoying the Belgian strong pale ale “Rince Cochon” in its proper glass. Good beer, the temps have cooled off a bit overnight because we have had some storms. Good enough for me.

    Cheers!

Morning! My coffee makers are still packed, so I’ll have to improvise.

My neighbor dropped off a welcome basket of home made breads and desserts. I don’t eat a lot of bread, and I don’t eat desserts, but some rosemary sourdough is sounding like a good breakfast right now.

    Cheers!

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for starting today's thread. After today, the weather guessers are saying we're in for another week of mostly rain - looks like I should have planted rice. Today's New Breakfast Beer comes from @Rub_This_BBQ and NBS BIF #13:

Pretty nice grisette - nicely loaded with acetic acid and just a hint of grapes and maybe rye - rating 3.95, rDev -5.5% - Thanks Bill!

Nice of the neighbor. Something pretty unusual here, we do lack some “connections” and generally here it’s over parking lot disputes more than anything.

Sometime I feel like civility and social interactions are a bit lost these days.

Thank you @Shanex kicking off the thread today! I don't like opening more than one thread a week, so went to bed before popping open one yesterday morning.

@Roguer , that is the closest brewery to my house, but when I walk there I typically pick up their Une Annee beers. Their Hubbard's Cave beers range from OK to incredible, but I would have diabetes and no teeth if I picked their beers up regularly, and I've shifted for the most part from pastry stouts to clean barrel, with the occasional coffee or coconut adjunct in terms of current purchases. Very nice neighbor and basket you have there!

I typically don't spend $5 / can on most beers (BA Stouts and Saisons are the typical exceptions). This was my first brewery pick up last year after I returned to Chicago and Armageddon was unleased, and I surely wasn't disappointed last Spring, or today, with this year's version (canned two Thursdays ago).

    Half Acre Navaja

    It's in my WCIPA HOF
    • Beachwood Amalgamator
    • Half Acre Navaja
    • Revolution DDH West Coast Hero
    • Russian River Pliny the Elder (PtY great, but just missed the HOF)
    • Spiteful10/9 Bike Messenger
    • Spiteful IPA
    • FFF Arctic Panzer Wolf
    • Tighthead Longsnapper
Three more in my possession, likely grabbing a second batch to enjoy and share later this week.

    @FBarber @eppCOS

A HOF Beer deserves a HOF music accompaniment. Cat Stevens wrote it, dozens have covered it, Patricia "P.P." Arnold owns it. Have a great day Beer Advocates worldwide, and my the best West Coast, the BEST Coast, IPAs be with you on this blessed day.

[IMG] Branch & Blade out of Keene also, Modestman IPAs are in a different league in my opinion. Still solid.

Shifting to something a little juicier, thanks to @JayORear . (The MBCP is for my partner.)

I drink this British beer every once in a while. It has nothing to be ashamed of even compared to Hop hunter, or Sumpin’.

Navaja is one of my all time favorite IPAs - pick it up every year and thoroughly enjoy it.

I'll save these for later this summer. Or even some for next year. Oude Geuze keeps very well for some years.

Back with the real stuff later, but after that 7+ mile run in this heat... about all I can do is this N/A Untitled Art hazy IPA'ish.
    I wish it were Navaja.
    Cheers!

I', having a Magnify R&R, Imperial Sour Ale. It's based on pink lemonade with lemons, raspberries and strawberries used. It hits on the pink lemonade mark. And it's got plenty of pucker. I've never heard of an Imperial Sour, but you gotta call it something when it clicks in at 11% ABV.

First day of a four day weekend, slept in a bit. Been doing some cleaning, dishes, etc.

Needed a brunch beer so I pulled one of these out.

    Frangelic Mountain Brown

Holding up nice! Some of that sweetness has subdued, nice coffee finish.

Petal is leashed up and ready to go take a walk.

She’s giving me the look of: “Hurry the fuck up and take the damn picture, let’s go.”

    Cheers BA.
