I doubt if mid-day today was all that bad. Tomorrow and Sunday will be CF's for sure

Does anyone know what Deerfield is usually like in terms of ease? I had no idea tree house opened another spot but we’re driving on 91. If it’s a quick process it’d be nice to grab some beer. Looks like it’s only a mile or so off the highway. Search of this thread didn’t have much responses. Mostly people like me asking this question…thanks I’m advance for any response.

Seems like the new locations are very quick. You should be good but weekends are always a high variance spot

Went to TH in Deerfield last Saturday around 4pm, 3 cars in front of me was 100% smooth. Made a trip up again today, ordered at 10:30 when online store opened then when to Yankee Candle for about hour and 45 minutes. Pulled into TH at about 11:55, there where 5 cars in front of me. So yes in both my trips it was a "quick process". Cheers enjoy!

Deerfield has only been open for a couple weeks so there isnt really a "usually" to reference yet. I went Friday to check it out, and to also avoid a potential Father's Day Weekend CF at Charlton. Arrived about 2pm. 8 cars ahead of me. 10 minute wait. On my way home, Mass Pike east was closed but no way to tell until the onramp so I had to go west for an exit, then deal with all the resulting traffic. That was the only hassle of the trip

Thank you @VodkaPong87 @mlm61 and @darkandhoppy may just give it a shot. Around lunchtime on a Wednesday seems like a pretty safe time. Appreciate the help!

I've been to Deerfield twice, no more than 5 cars and a 10 minute wait, both times probably around 5 on a weekday. Easy peasy.

Going to Alchemist on Saturday, noticed that Heady, Focal, & all of their 4-packs are $12.70. Tree House: Are you listening?

Don't think anyone is boycotting TH on price, not to mention Alchemist beer is decidedly different.

Notwithstanding all that "drink from the can" so you avoid them there fishfood visuals and you can't smell--aka taste--it as effectively nonsense.

Not sure the last time I had a fresh Alchemist beer that actually had the snowglobe appearance. It's been at least 5 years though, and even when it seemed more common I tend to find the chicken soup appearance from many NEIPA producers you see these days a bigger visual turnoff. And I've always found I prefer the taste from the can regardless of however compelling or cynical one found Kimmich's reasons for recommending it be consumed that way.

I do think Alchemist's prices have always been praiseworthy and Heady from the brewery stood out as a particularly great deal even long before the $20 4-pack became a commonplace thing. As much as I'd love to see Tree House be priced similarly I'm not about to knock them specifically for not meeting a price standard seemingly no one else in that class really is.

Yeah - this is where I got lost - it's not like TH is raking you over the coals. It's the industry standard. Alchemist is the outlier here.

I understand the whole covering up floaties aspect, but you can't think they do that to purposefully try and mute flavors, do you?

It doesn't matter whether that's their intent or not. Muting of aroma--and thus flavor--is an inevitable result of drinking from the can, and it's an unbelievably idiotic phrase to keep printing on their product in 2021. Right up there with YOU'RE NOT WORTHY!

But let's not pretend we don't all know the reason they started printing that on their can is because they knew their beer looked like cat puke.

I think you are probably right, but I also don't blame them at all. In 2011, beer that looked like Heady and 16 oz cans of non-PBR were both pretty novel. Printing it on the can allowed them to kill two birds with one stone - stake their brand around what at the time was a unique-ish package and diminish the opportunity for negative word of mouth around non clear beer. A decade later both of those factors look silly now, but the Heady can is so iconic it makes sense not to change it. Even if 30 seconds of a Kimmich video is all one needs to see to believe he'd lean toward having you pour one today .
