Good day, happy Monday (as much as can be…) and new week advocates!

I am drinking Tripel Karmeliet, the adventures here in Northern Britanny go on later this afternoon… pairing the Belgian tripel with a frugal lunch, cherry tomatoes, salad and ham:

    Cheers.

Thank you @Shanex for kicking things off today on my favorite day of the year, Summer Solstice!!! It's shaping up to be a great day after the huge overnight storms passed over.

You have a tasty looking ham salad there. Having an everything bagel, paired with a great local lager.

    Haymarket Chicago Tavern Beer

Haymarket is not a one hit wonder by any means, but these two groups from 1980 were.

Joy Division had this hit before their lead singer, Ian Curtis, suffering from various health ailments including epilepsy and seizures, sadly killed himself. The remaining band members transitioned into forming New Order.

This band is more of a two hit wonder, these tunes released together for their moment in the sun.

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for starting today's thread.Starting off with a bit of sunshine after yesterday's gloominess followed by a short but violent thunderstorm in the evening (During "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" - possibly my favorite spaghetti western). I did get some walking in - about 3 miles - getting ready for the upcoming Iceland trip. I've been doing the local bike trails but it's about time to start humping the boonies again. Speaking of the boonies, today's New Breakfast Beer comes from Stowe, VT, and a ninja strike by @Roy_Hobbs - thanks Ross!

    A passable Kolsch - rating 3.75, rDev -5.5%.

    Good morning!

Last night for my shift drink (technically EARLY this morning)… I tried the Jellyfish Brewing Co. Planktonic Red Ale. Finally got a bar gig at The Lockspot Cafe near the locks in Seattle’s Ballard district.

This is a good beer with 8 hop varietals.

Gonna be a hot one today in western WA.

    Happy Solstice and PRIDE!
    Cheers ya’ll!

I'm starting off the week with one that's become a favorite for Wifey & me. Victory Sour Monkey. A 9.5% Sour Tripel. Downside is, I have to share it. Upside is that I like sharing a beer with her. Also, I got two, so there's that.

First time cooking in the new house; getting used to where everything is, and we haven't even unpacked everything. We have dinner with friends tonight, hence the early cooking.

    Cheers!

Up now is Boulevard Tiki Slam, Tart Island Ale. It's an ale with guave, pineapple, orange and other natural flavors. Damn, they hit on the pineapple and guava. The orange is way in the background. There is literally not one single thing about this that makes you think you're drinking a beer. This is a child's tropical juicebox. Strong, strong, strong pineapple and guava. If you asked me what style it is, I'd guess NEIPA, but it's listed as a Berliner Weisse. It's tasty enough, but it's just not for me.

Looks great, we are packing our house up, equally as challenging to cook most of the things I use have been boxed. Cheers.

Taking a break from the sours. In my glass now is Goose Island Summer Time, a German style kolsch. It looks like a kolsch and it has the floral hops and grain maltiness of a kolsch. Hard to call it anything except a proper kolsch. I like it a good chunk more than it's BA average rating of 3.49. I rated it 3.79.
