Good day! and thanx Shanex for cuttin' loose today's thread! We got very beneficial rain the past couple of days. Many plants perked right back up after the crazy heat we had all month. Sooooo...
Summit EPA today. First had it in 1988. Summit then had 2 beers, the other being a crystal ale. Today the EPA is on tap statewide in MN and has been for quite some time. They are heavily involved in community functions, music festivals, sponsorships and loads more. Some form of Summit is usually in my beer stube.

Wow beer. It's so hard to accept this beer is so damn good. All the juice bombs I've had this one is so incredibly tasty, smooth and remarkable in all aspects. The first and only one I got was old, outdated and still very good. This 'fresh" one canned 05/07/21 and best by 09/04/21 may be the best DIPA I ever had the pleasure to drink.

Doing it Louisiana Cajun this afternoon.





A boudin kolach from Lafayette and some Ghost from Broussard. And some generic Rouses dipping sauce.

A darn good pairing. These folks know how to food & beer.

Back home from my fishing trip. I had so much fun on it, but it was also so damn sad that we were the only ones at the resort, and there won't be anyone else there till the 7th.

It's also my birthday, so I'm enjoying this amazing beer from @woemad . Amazing

2018 vintage. Consumed June 29th, 2021.

Thick looking pour. This beer pours pitch black. There's no clarity at all. The beer produces a 1 finger tan head. The head quickly dissipates to a ring on the edge of the glass, with no lacing.
The nose is amazing. I get so much here. I get coffee, vanilla, caramel, chocolate, toffee, and raisin. The aromas work very well together.
Taste - this beer starts out coffee on the flavor. It then gets me many other flavors. The ones I can pull out are chocolate, caramel, toffee, vanilla, and raisin. These flavors are very delicious.
The body is thick, and smooth. There's almost no burn from the alcohol. There's also a bit of a creamy feel.
I am in love with this beer.


Since I was so close to Canada the past couple of days, this seems in order.
