Terence, I took note that in your Sierra Nevada Live video (post #635) you commented "...sold out way faster than we thought...". And the Brand Manager wants you to brew more. Is there a business metric for strong customer demand in 2021 which might influence a decision to bring back Summerfest as a seasonal?

    Cheers!

Not based off 120bbl worth of sales compared to what was a 30,000+ bbl brand in 2015.

But you only have 120 bbl of sales (so far) since you have limited the amount you brewed and also limited delivery to 10 states. Basically a self-fulfilling level of small sales due to your production and distribution business decisions.

Up to you and your marketing & sales folks here but...

    Cheers!

But hope springs eternal for you -- is the real point! Don't turn pessimistic after such optimism.

I have boycotted all Sierra Nevada beers unless the bring back the Summerfest. There are plenty of great ipas's out there so no need to buy Sierra Nevada.

I actually have been buying local Yuengling Golden Pilsener this summer and i quite like it. It has replaced the Summerfest.

Imo Sierra saying sales slowed on this beer is BS. I think it cost more to brew, that is the real reason it got axed. That's my opinion .

Their best lager was Vienna Lager but it never was marketed as a stand-alone so self fulfilling to have a low seller. I bought a 12 of their Octoberfest and it is middling compared to Vienna. Probably my last SN purchase

True and most craft drinkers have other ways to waste time then posting about beer on the internet.

    Gonna change your avatar?

Nearly 50 years later, I'm still bitter about it but confess that I did continue to purchase the brand under Falstaff/Pabst ownership into the 1990s - thus my avatar. But likely most folks don't recognize it (esp. after several tweaks I had to do).

More and more I’m getting palette fatigue from IPA overdo so leaning more towards lagers. SN decides to move away from lagers which is their prerogative. Picking up more lagers from Creature comforts, GLB and thanks to @sulldaddy Von Trapp so I’m good.

I like ipa's but if i drink too many i get a headache. Never happens with lagers or pilseners. Too many companies are over the top ipa centric.

Oh, lagers (Pilsners are lagers) can get me too, especially after 10 or 12.

Not that should encourage you to overindulge but often times this is a result of dehydration. Drinking lots of water with (or at a minimum afterwards) is helpful here.

Or more prudently just drink a couple of IPAs.

    Cheers!
