Good day BAs! Today (Thursday) is laundry day, that day when I do the bulk of the week's accrued laundry, minus whatever godawful sweaty garden clothes I've already done as I take them off. Mrs. Lizard is out of sight most of laundry day, and thus out of mind. Anyway, thanks @SawDog505 for starting today's thread. I didn't post yesterday because it was around noon when we returned from Mrs. Lizard's post concussion therapy session and was post breakfast, as it probably will be tomorrow as well. My girlfriend told me that her family served this beer in their bar in Dunkirk, France. When she tried it here on tap in LA for the first time she said it tasted more sweet than usual.

 

Cheeseburger with Bud for lunch. I have a feeling there will be more Bud before the day is over.

 

Ueriges Altbier at the Pharmacy in Nashville. Lots of unusual beers on tap. What burger place has Saison Dupont? Would have that as well if I weren't driving back to Atlanta.

 

This afternoon calls for Dunkelweisse. Drinking Ayinger Urweisse. Cheers!

 

Starting today with an old Trillium - Wild Sinister Kid: Double Blackberry & Cabernet grapes aged in red wine and bourbon barrels. Tart, acidic, vinous, fruity, malty, acetic, some toasty dark caramel and molasses notes, hint of chocolate, vanilla, fresh blackberries, sour red fruit, oak, slight bourbon, red wine, pretty nice. Enjoying after some leftover chicken spinach feta calzone from yesterday. Think I might slice up some extra sharp cheddar with this. Cheers all!

 

Except for a brief (5 minute) shower, the sun has been out. We've had some good rains over the past few days, and there's showers predicted each day for the next seven days. Much-needed rain, so I hope we get a lot, just not when I'm golfing (it is about me, after all).

I only had Karmeliet a couple of time from tap. But can't remember it being more sweet. I remember liking the tap version even better compared to the bottles. I'll keep that sweet taste in mind next time I find Karmeliet on tap.

Day baseball? Day drinking!!!! The Mariners are finishing up their series against the Jays in Buffalo, on Canada day, with the starting pitchers being from S. Korea and Japan. Happy Canada day eh! I'm starting my beer day with a 2019 bottle of Faithful and True from Standard Brewing in Seattle. It's a nice oak-aged saison. Go Ms!
